My tactic for Stasis is to bring a friend along to hit me with a CDEF so that I can get back up and pwn.

I guess you could do that, but that's really a exploit of game mechanics.
People have always used exploits, and things rarely happen. In the BH/Jedi game, both sides have employed some rather unorthodox and underhand tactics.
MEs can go down quick if you get the jump on them. Due to their lack of defence (unless they went ME/Def, in which case they'll do rather little damage), the first few shots are going to do a lot of damage.
You can always hit back with: KD + Startle; KD + Panic; KD + Paralyze.
If they're prepared and aware, you're not going to get very far, because, as you said, they'll KD, Stasis, and Run.
When they have no buffs and you fire of KD + Startle, you'll stand a better chance.

That does not make xploiting permissable on either side.
Its sad when anything has to break game mechanics to win.
I would hope that skill would count for something but I guess the hard road is the one less traveled.

Chased one stasis junky around planet to planet..kept stasising and running. Nothing I could do...at the time. Waited till the next day and dropped him in less than 10 seconds. No stasis. /spit
