What would you like to be noted from the faq for this topic? That the dxr6 has a closer ideal range than the nym's? That most dxr6's, high end ones anyway, seem to have better min/max dmg than the nym's? Don't be so smug.

Despite it's shortfalls, I still love using slugthrowers, if only for the cool sound effect!

Well at least when I read that post, it seemed to me it was trying to say the Nym's had a closer Ideal Range than the DXR6.....which, as the FAQ says, is most definitely wrong.

It may seem smug, but I would have been more specific if I could get in-game to check the 0m mod on both, but being at work is cramping my style

AND I don't remember the Nym's stats so I defer to Eisman in the FAQ.....seems logical to me, so if I show my smugness, so be it I don't just sit idly bywhen some potentially false information invades The Great Carbineer Forum

I just did this the other day, and yes, a CL15 can complete it. Most of the mobs in the dungeons you are required to visit were around CL11, actually.

You will need to be CL50.....which is a long ways from CL15 so you have lotsa Carbines to use before the Slugthrower.

Master Elite Prof is CL54

IMO, if you're actively gaining experience in a group, you should only worry about purchasing Novice and Master / CL50-54 weapons.

I grinded Carbineer with a DH17 until I mastered, and then got my E11 Mk.II

I grinded my Pistoleer with a Scout Blaster until mastery. Then I played around with the ROTW master pistols.

I grinded my Rifleman with a DLT20, all the way through Master Rifleman. Then I got the iconic T21.

Everything else in between is needless waste of credits.

Hey all

I started a new character and I am making him into a master carbineer!!

I did Nym's Theme Park pre-CU with my last toon, and I am wondering what it is like now, I imagine the quest is the same, but could say a CL-15 (me) complete it?

My current template is Novice Carbineer, medic 0320, plus scout 2020, so I do have a little bit of terrain negotiation.

Anyone who knows please lend a tip

thanks

Have your last toon (if still active) trade the pre-cu Nym's to your new carbineer. Chances are you will be able to use it even though it has a higher combat level listed. Yup, another bug or else oversight.

My crafter, with a massive combat level of 2, carrys a pre-cu Nym's carbine. It's fun to duel low level toons (5 or under) just for fun and see/hear their expressions when I hit them for 800 pts of damage as a level 2 crafter. Of course i have to actually hit them first...as at that level a lot of "miss" comes up.

Anyway, try out the pre-cu Nym's as you might be pleasantly suprised.

bah, not a needless waste of credits, I dont always have time to grind in groups, and plus I like to be able to do damage. The more people in the group with higher damage weapons, the faster the MOBs die, which=more dead MOBs, which also =more XP per hour, so

higher damage weapon=more XP

and all your old weapons look good on the wall of your house : )

Heck its not like basic weapons cost a lot anyway. A fraction of what you will spend on one high end "primary" weapon you want in your adk.

The "anyone can use" Nyms carbine was gone from game a lot, lot earlier than the CU.

Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals
