Unfortunately, I think Chef, will become the FoTM in mere weeks. It's rather sad, but hopefully by then, I can get my name out there enough so that people will know I'm around. Right now, on my server, there's 2 chefs that basically have the market cornered, with great food and great prices. Hopefully, I can compete with there foods/prices in time.

Just to point something out...

I didn't quit because I was frustrated with the profession. It was mainly due to time constraints. I just didn't have the time to be the top-end Server's Choice chef that everyone knows and loves (one of my friends says he hears about me from other people all the time). I still enjoy crafting, but don't have the time to dedicate to becoming very proficient in one of the pure elite crafting professions. This is why I've chosen the road of the Bio-Engineer.

And the combat thing does help. While I was still a chef, I had also leveled swordsman up to 0433. Yay!

Greetings fellow BH's, I have been a BH for a very long time now, but I am very disapointed with it, everyone else keeps getting upgrades, new weapoins, while we are still stuck with nothing. They never do much for us, and I have had it up to here with this prof. However I can do two things I can wine about it, flame people for it or I can do something about it. I choise to do something about it. I have decided to give up BH, and sady I have a lot invested in this prof, lucky for me tho I have many Dragon Tissie scatters that I am puting away, I dout I will ever be a BH again, once Publich 10 comes I may go for Jedi. Not sure what I'll do with my second Cha yet, but one thing is for sure, at least for the time being. I am done being a BH. I would like to wish all of you well, and for those of you who are starting out as a BH, I wish you well and I hope you find your experece with BH more enjoyable then I have. I was glad to have done BH, but many things the BH's was supose to get and we have not gotton a thing. That Death Watch Buncker should of been for BH's only but no they opend it to everyone. That was a mistake I thought, every other prof keeps getting new elite weaopns while were still stuck with the LLC and scatter Pistol got to remember after Master you only have 33 points, and those 33 points don't go far.

So goodbye and Farewell Bh's

No worries, you're here to enjoy the game! Plus, no one says you can't come here every now and again to help new bounty hunters with questions and to push our cause.

I'm keeping an eye on the new quest system myself.

Good luck!

We'll We Bh's that are keeping BH can look at this as a good thing and a bad thing.

The Good thing is there will be one less bounty hunter out there hunting the jedi you're hunt.

The Bad We just lost another bounty hunter.

I think some people need to stop complaining about BH and actually try to make it fun like I do. I run around all day soloing caves and things of that sort. I don't really PvP much so i'm not really worried about the defense's and if anyone says that we're not good enough to solo anything worth soloing it's a lie.

Oh yeah. Stop caring what other proffessions get and try to make the best time out of being a BH

I think the point is that - especially at MBH level - want to be playing a bounty hunter... as it stands we are NOT in any shape or form playing a bounty hunter.

I know where you are coming from. The options suck as they now stand:

1) Wait

2) Drop BH

I really hate this waiting crap as I am waiting in the dark and losing patience. And the thought of dropping BHwith all the work/time/effort I put in to get Master is hard to come to terms with.AGGGHHHH!

I realize I haven't contributed much to the CH forums; I read them for a long time before I felt I had learned enough to actually participate. So most of you probably don't know me as an MCH on Ahazi. Unfortunately, those of you who don't know me in this respect will never get the chance. I've decided I must give up the Creature Handler profession.

My decision has come slowly, over time, but I'd say I knew what I had to do when Publish 19 came out. I'll admit it, I was furious when the publish went live; I made a few angry, trollish posts in the dev's corner and thought about quitting the game. Then I realized: as much as I love CH, there are other things to experience - CH is just one aspect.

Also, I have another problem with CH: I am currently on my way to contributing the Jedi overpopulation problem. That's right, I'm doing the Village. While I've found that CH is an excellent profession for taking care of those pesky Sith (my wild tame creatures don't do much, but my BE'd rancor level 69 rancor can take 2 or 3 at once without breaking a sweat), it's not going to do much for me after I finish the village. As a Paddy with CH in my template, what am I going to do when BHs manage to surprise me? I guess I could say, "Oh Bounty Hunter, please wait while I pull out my pets. It could take me up to 45 seconds to pull out the ones I need, and if you attack me before I can do this I'd just be a half-template weakling with only one viable profession to fight the two you have." Although I'd love to see the look on the BHs faces when I said that, I don't feel like dealing with the XP loss from this.

I've had fun in CH, even though I haven't done some of the "true MCH" things yet (while I've tamed a few normal nargs, I've never tamed a female elite), but I've managed to tame a creature from every planet I can. I've grown attached to my pets, and in some respects I feel like I'm losing 22 friends.

Therefore, I'd like to offer my entire datapad of pets to current CHs, whether you want them for grinding or for fighting or just to show off to others. I'm on Ahazi, I have pets that range in level from 21 to 69 (my level 70 shear mite became a 69 after the pub 19 hotfix ). I can post a complete list that will have the pet's level andhealth, along with what it is (though the list might change, because I intend to tame at least one female narg before I go, and possibly a bull rancor - I've always wanted to, even though it doesn't mean as much).I don't want credits. I'd like to give back to the community that I love so much. Just send an in-game email to Jamila if interested.

But I'm not leaving completely! Although CH might not be a viable profession with this particular toon, I've already decided to create a CH on TestCenter so that I can help fix the problems that made me give up the profession. And with your kind permission, I'd like to stay in the CH forums. I've enjoyed my brief stay here.

I wish you all the best of luck; and I will continue to envy your pets until I have my CH on TestCenter.

P.S. I haven't written down my pets stats yet, but I know I have my level 69 BE'drancor, lvl 69 shear mite, my pack of cats (lvl 21 grand wrix, lvl 23 crimson razor cat, lvl 24 female razor cat), a lvl 56merek death's head and lvl 53 merek cavern creeper (my pride and joy - I wanted them so badly, it took me five run-ins with the "can't tame that" bug and I never gave up - they might not seem special to you but they are to me), a graul mauler, a BE'd kimo and BE'd rancor that were gifts and I frankly never use, an arachne (don't know which type) named Stupid because I had to do all four tries for training as an MCH - took me forever and I was frustrated by the time I was done. I'll post a more complete list tomorrow, this is just what I remember off the top of my head.

Actually, you might want to consider hanging onto MCH for a bit after you complete your Jedi Initiate grind. They can help you get rolling while you're using your training saber to get your first Novice boxes. Those Novice boxes are within reach via solo hunting. The way I did it was I either killed lair mission creatures using all conventional weapons as rapidly as possible and used my noobie saber on the lair exclusively, or else had a pet tank for me while I pipped away at it with my saber. Either way, the big payoff is the lair -- you'll get about 750 Jedi XP for destroying it exclusively with your saber. By contrast, I started off with my training saber generating a whopping 55-65 Jedi XP against the creatures and over 4500 CH XP from using my pets. But that ratio gradually improved as I started using higher-level sabers, until I was pulling down about 350 or so Jedi XP per kill, about half the total available XP per kill. These results will net you your five Novice boxes in a reasonable time frame.

The point is, your damage output as a new paddie with a saber is so low, your pets will be able to tank reliably for you! And you will stay off the terminals!

I appreciate the tip, Iakimo, but with Publish 20 I'll be able to hunt in a group without gaining vis, which means I still don't need my pets. With this fix, I will probably always hunt in a group, so I won't need pets for tanking. Not that I wouldn't use any excuse possible to keep them, it's just that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

Anyway, here is the list of pets I have available to whoever wants them. I don't have many that you would consider particularly special, unless your name is Jamila Isen. I listed their name/type, level, and health just for the basics. If you're interested and you're on Ahazi, let me know - send an email/tell to Jamila. By tomorrow I will be giving up many of my CH skills, so please act quickly.

Jolly (merek cavern creeper) lvl 53 (health 5626)

Roger (merek death's head) lvl 56 (5135)

Khara (female razor cat) lvl 23 (3005)

Maxwell (grand wrix) lvl 21 (3087)

Meko (crimson razor cat) lvl 24 (3251)

Stupid (arachne something from Yavin 4) lvl 68 (6521)

Wiggles (giant crystal snake) lvl 60 (6025)

bol pack runner lvl 38 (4643)

bolma female lvl 54 (5807)

brackaset female lvl 63 (6331)

female kwi lvl 61 (6082)

grand mauler lvl 51 (5544)

gurk lvl 38 (4397)

hostile thune mother lvl 43 (4807)

perlek ravager lvl 46 (4971)

rhoa kwi lvl 66 (6998)

shear mite lvl 69 (6584)

BE'd pets: Rancor lvl 69 (6600)

Rancor lvl 53 (5289)

Spike (kimogila) lvl 48 (5519)

It's very possible this list could change by tomorrow, since I have always wanted a female narg and I have space in my datapad. Just let me know if you want one.

Jamila,
Sorry to see you go. I'm also on Ahazi and would LOVE to take a few of your pets, but my storage is still kinda low right now. I have 2 open slots, but I might be able to free up 1 or 2 more. Are you sure you wouldn't prefer to hang onto them? I mean... You DO get an alt eventually
