Sorry it is untrue.

When I was at Slicing I there werer 3 smugglers including me slicing a missions terminal in Mos Espa, and I still had to wait 2 min to slice. However it did seem that long because both where really nice and we ended up having a great conversation so it didn't seem that long.

Yeah, I think it is only the first page of options after the slice.

I sat with other smugglers slicing terminals and had to wait 2 min between slices as well. During this time I found I can make 3 spices or a grind out 3 items.

I swear to God the developers coded in something sothe closer the slicer gets to Slice II the more the terminal fails to slice. I got through the a lot of xp choosing blue and couldn't believe my good fortune, but the law of large numbers caught up with me towards the end.

The high payout is generally on the first page. I have at times been able to refresh pages and have the increased price show up now and then.

You have to wait so you can: Hack into the network and broadcast you pirate signal :-)

I have acquired the ability to slice terminals for xp, so now I don't have to yell around town that I can slice locked containers give them all to me. This is good although locked containers still give you 1.5x more xp. So inorded to gain more xp I have decided to sit down in front of a terminal and just slice it over and over again. I know it doesn't sound fun but I will be better off when I can get weapons. Only problem is after like 10 slices or so, the system never fails to boot me. I gave it up to coincidence the first couple of times, but now it has happened to me about 4 different times. Is it frowned upon or something that I try to earn slicing xp in this way... and why?

I don't know if something changed, but I literally camped out in front of mission terminals for two nights to get through this bit of slicing. I used FANs which I had made by another smuggler on my server (I gave him the resources and some cash, he ran a factory batch for me), and in my in-between slice time crafted spices. In the end, I was halfway to Spices IV by the time I finished my terminal slicing.

Are you doing anything between slices, or just waiting the two minutes and trying again?

Oh, and you're right. You are better off when you can do weapons. It takes a ton of them to get through Slicing III and IV, but you're not tied to a specific spot to work on them

My recommendation is make spice between slices then you hit 2 trees at once.

Yeah, I was pretty much just waiting around, making more precision knives everyonce in a while in order, to keep my pace going. I like the idea of crafting a spice or two though in the mean time. Thanks guys i will try that.

If you want to plaster through it faster:

Sit by terminal
Slice terminal
Shout for containers still

This way you're earning a good 350xp every few minutes.

What I did was every time I successfully sliced the terminal, I would take a short delivery mission or 2. That way I had something else to do while waiting for the 2 minutes to come around again, and I ended up with quite a few extra credits by the time I finished.

The terminal stage is horridly annoying, best to find people that have lotsa containers and slicem', or get in a guild and declare all locked containers yours! I'm the only smuggler in my guild so I slice all our stuff.

Now to get through weapons, another guild member needed to get exp in weaponsmithing, so he made me a buncha WUK's, and then crafted CDEF's for me to slice and then destroy. We did this for about 4hrs over 2 nights and I lvled Slicing 3 & 4

Of course I also got ALL the collected drop weapons to slice from the guild members too, so that helped too (about 200 weps without using FAN's just PLK's). It's kinda wasteful but saves me on resources that I will need to do REAL slicing. Of course when I got slicing IV I found the lovely missing advanced slicing options missing weee!

Can someone explain how this work please? You slice the terminal and then it says my next mission reward will be increased. Can I only pick from the missions in the next screen?

It's best to pick from the first missions that come up, because sometimes whenyou hit refresh the game forgets that you sliced the terminal.
