if you want higher energy protection then yes, of course it depends how good each suit has been made, but good energy layered recon will always have higher energy protection when compared to good energy layered assault or battle

Galactic Civil War PVP Armor is sliced all Level 1 - Decay Performance, Decay Resist, Critical Save and Armor Break.

Since this is generic PVP Armor, and being in shock trooper armor makes you a big target for everyone this works best.
