I actually have a featherweight FWG-5 that could NOT be damage sliced, said it was capped..... so I got crit slice... and love it

Go with a crit slice the difference in a few .000 of speed is not noticeable but a chance at 25% dmg is

Damn, I was set on the speed slice until the last post. Decision, decisions.

So a full crit slice would theoreticly make the sliced gun hit for double the damage 10% or 1 out of ever 10 shots.

hmm, let's try some simple math on this problem.
A criticle slice will increase the Base DPS with 1/10 * 0.25 = 2.5 %
A speed slice of 12 % will increase the Base DPS with 1-1/0.88 = 14 %
where I have assumed that a criticle hit increases the damage of every tenth shot by 25%.
That should simplify your problem

Yea Karon I looked at the same thing, but then I also wondered with the additional speed would I run into issues with action costs.
The stats on the gun right now are:
Att Spd: 2.09
Mod Spd: 1.47
Dam: 370-965
Acc Bon: 61
Est DPS: 318.9
Mod DPS: 454.21
SAC: 66
According to SonGouki's slicing assistant, a lvl 4 speed slice would drop the base spd to 1.84 and the Est DPS to 362.9. I think that is the way I am going to slice it. My Mod Spd should then be 1.22. This will change once I finish grinding out the Ranged Speed boxes of FS, but oh well, that might be awhile.
