Thread: A must read by a Jedi about BHs

It's been so long and I forget what all has changed since, but wasn't creature handler one of the first very very strong professions right at launch? I too was one of those early beta testers and saw how strong these guys were in beta and they could tank just about anything PvE, now PvP, if it was the way it was back then, those 3 level 50 rancors would be nastie, and I mean nastie. Jedi were not around for a few months but if they were, I bet they would have had a time with these guys, if i remember right, doc buffs were not to great yet and the big pets could still hurt ya.
Just some thoughts ![]()
So what profession is the flavor of the day, I can't keep up?

*DING* *DING* *DING* How right you are... show him what he won!
I was wondering if anyone else would beat me to it and you did. For someone who thinks he knows so much, that guy sure gets the details messed-up.
The CH's were the first nerfed about the same time as ATSTs (just the beginning rounds for both).
BH's first nerf came as a result of being able to chain KDs (if I recall correctly) which was hardly a nerf by today's standards -- it consisted of a cooldown timer of sorts so a target could not be knocked down over and over.
The BHs quickly switched to the Dizzy/Knockdown tactic requiring them to swap pistols and carbines between attacks to land both specials. This was also 'nerfed' to a degree.
And the balances (always referred to as nerfs by the balanced party) continue to this day, but of all of them, I would say the only profession to truly be nerfed was the CHs in what they were led to believe was the first part of the original Combat Rebalance that ended up going through 2 name changes and over 12 months before any type of balance was made. When Jedi (or any other profession) are nerfed into uselessness as bad as the CH's, then they have something to complain about but until then they need to quit whining everytime a little balance is thrown their way.

-----Great I haveplayed sincephase 2 of closed beta(still have bugs i subitted back then that havnt even been fixed yet by the way). How the heck doyou know only 4 jedi survived? Did you see Eppisode III? If I recall I only saw about 4 Jedi from the council get killed and there is way more then 4 on the council. What if others got obi wans message not to return home? Plus nothing in this game is in balance with the time line. Explain how the heck we have and expansion called ROW Episode III with barc speeders? Werent barc speeders associated with the Republic and not the Rebel Alliance/Galactic Empire? Also if were sticking to the timeline/movies so much every singe BH' i saw got pwned bh a jedi. Heck fett jr got knocked into the pit by his own stupidity cuz han knocked into him.
In Episode 4, it is explained that Vader has hunted down and killed all the Jedi and he is the last of their kind. If you read the canon then you can add in Master C'baoth who was a Jedi Master Clone. That makes 5 total. Once again there are plenty of force sensitive people around but not jedi.
Just a SMALL clarification here is in order.
In the above highlighted sentence, you state exactly what is said in Ep 4 - Vader had hunted down all the Jedi and killed them.
Yet, in Ep 5 - Here's Yoda! A Jedi - Not dead, not hunted down - Giving the lie to the statement in Episode 4. Certainly, as real people, we understand that Lucas either forgot the first statement, or deliberately ignored it in order to bring out Yoda.
But as PLAYERS.. We would know history - General Order 66 because the Jedi had turned on the Republic. We would hear scattered rumors of General Kenobi coming out of exile, and delivering Princess Leia from her captivity at the cost of his life. As Rebels, we would know an extremely LUCKY Farmboy is in our ranks, and it's whispered he was Kenobi's student. We would NOT know about Yoda, and given the nature of Beliefs, anything we could not explain would be attributed to the Force, or Jedi. Rebels would call the Imperial announcement of the death of the last Jedi "propaganda", since we KNOW Kenobi had returned - So maybe, just MAYBE other Jedi are still around?
Everyone keeps beating the "Timeline" argument like a dead horse. If the Novels and Comic books can have stories that are not considered Canon, but can be explained away, so can SWG. The mass uprising of Jedi could be one of those "Untold" stories. As long as they all die out (Or return to hiding) before Ep 6. all is right with the timeline.
They can come back out as soon as SWG evolves beyond Ep 6.
