Thread: New idea for BH rewards and declining Jedi population
how would be the idea of looting a dead jedi, which gets u a unusable lightsaber like the broken ones only with the color of the saber and the name of the jedi who owned it on it. this wouldn't take any expensive items from jedi players, so they wouldn't loose a good saber and also their crystals and pearl.

with kill trophys maybe it would also bring back the PvP, for example at Diablo 2 on battlenet u get a ear from your killed enemy which containes the name and the lvl of the char u killed, something like this would be very cool at SWG.
ps: plz dont add ears as trophys, coz we should get a profession based trophy by the player we killed, including name and maybe also the template.

Along this path...then the JEDI should get a reward for downing a BH who is hunting them, right?
Perhaps he gets to loot a random weapon or get a random piece of armor that is equipped...in addition to instantly losing all VIS and all others with the mission fail instantly.
And what about the BH PENALTY for dying to a mark that is still missing? I certainly think a RL week penalty where you cannot take BH missionsfor DYING to your mark is fair. Who would want to hire a BH who FAILS to eliminate the target?

Hey all, don't know if this has been thought of before or not but here is an idea for a new reward system for BH and possibly something that may help reduce the Jedi population. The one thing I can't stand as a MBH is the lack of reward for taking down a Jedi. I mean the thrill of the hunt and the adrenalin rush are good as well as the satisfaction of taking down another player but I have always felt that after it was over I have nothing to show for it. My proposal is this:
Why not after dispatching a Jedi could we loot their best lightsaber from their corpse. Wouldn't it be great to have a lightsaber to display on your trophy wall? Maybe even be able to use the saber for ourselves, but since we cannot get the certification for them we can not use them as weapons, after all Han Solo was not certified to use a saber but he did a good job of slicing a Taun Taun LOL Another advantage to this is that without lightsabers Jedi may cease to play that character. Enough deaths and they will be reduced to playing with training sabers :smiley very-happy: or having to keep creating lightsabers thus having to grind to get pearls or shelling out cash to get new crystals.
Of course therse are just thoughts not even really worthy of recognation. And I know the Jedi will cry foul at this and they are entitled to their opinion just as I am. I am sure other people will not like this as well. But share your thought either way.
I am not I jedi and I would cry foul. I hope I am not the only one that thinks completly ruining anothers players game expierence is just wrong. Why people want to completly try to force people out of the game for their own enjoyment is beyond me.
I like the idea of a Saber display, but NOT the other players actual saber. Just a saber with their name on it or somehting.

Well if some ones going to leave the game over getting killed then maybe they should findsome thing more to thier level of risk, like crafting. When one becomes a jedi one should know that being able to be hunted is part of that. Thats part of the risk in the choice that is taken when becoming a jedi. If someone quits because of that, good, I dont have time for those momma's boys. Same with any fellow BH that whines that he's gonna quit cause he died fighting a jedi. Im not gonna spend my time tiptoeing around a emotional 3yr old and hurtinghis feelings. Does it suck losing yeah it does but that what happens in games sometimes you loose. Maybe they should go back to playing single player console games, where they can puch in thier cheat codes so they dont have to worry about loosing.
As far as I know a broken lightsaber would be a cool trophy. Doesnt cause anyone else any loss. Even though taking trophies isnt very jedi like I suppose if the jedi are going to wet themselves over this then if they want a trophy they should have one for defeating a BH. Though Id think that the more BH jedi killed the more hunted they would be come. As a jedi I would relish the thought of being the BH's public enemy #1.

I refer you to this post. This is the kind of garbage that happens when you give one group of players power over another. This isn't about whineing about being killed, this is a blatent disreguard for your fellow gamer and has nothing to do with competitive play or hunting another player in good sport. Camping a NPC mob is one thing, but when your puropse is to have your fun completly at somebody elses expense by camping them over and over till they just can't log on anymore because they can't play the gameit is time for the devs to put a stop to it. The old argument about you know the risks is BS, I understand the risk as I am sure many others do and I sure don't need you to point them out. Being camped over and over by the same person is absolutly BS and some how, some way should not be allowed.
