Maura I would like to comment about #191 (leekae). First off you used an exploit that wouldnt allow me to get up. and second, you contradict yourself when you say using a ranged shot is best when all you did was hit me with KD then panic shot which didnt allow me to get up and then spammed critical. Also, i was meditating when you attacked and never even got to fight. I have seen you in action when the jedi is ready and youve died every single time.

i though panic shot cleared once you got hit with another attack... not an exploit

if you KD someone then panic shot them standing up can seem imposible. panicshott, critical shot, pancishot, critical shot, panicshot.


same thing for paralyze, paralyze, shoot, paralyze, shoot


If these tactics are killing you as a jedi, you need some like accuracy food/drink to kill em fast when you get a chance, and so your specials actualy work when you get ina shot, force valor is super, get you some good ole ranged defense drink, some block drink, some burstrun food, if you dont have force run. You shouldnt run out of force seeing you will only get a few chances to realy use some, but when you do if you do it right its the only few seconds you will need. Root /snare if you can. You can do things, its timeing, be very carefull play the lag and use lots of KD's yourself, advanced saber throw and roots can realy make short work of this tactic as you can close and end it, use your environement.


MBH are weak. Its the non MBH that use this tactic that can be a problem.

Actually I remember a fellow doing extensive tests where he compared alternating ranged shot and placed shot with his two best specials and for damage over time came out with slight lead with the lowbie combo. That's actually what DPS ratings are talking about, the base attack over time, not your best special. I frequently alternate imp leg shot and ranged shot and it works well to conserve action. One thing I have started doing too is opening the fight with Aim so I have an accuracy/damage boost for the first shots, usually on the order of 3-5. The cycle times will limit damage combiningspecials likelike imp critical shot|imp leg shotoutput at some point.

hey, Oh are you on crack. Ranged shot and placed shot are no where near as good as adc. crit. On a Lvl 80 npc i can hit for about 1100-1400 with my carbine. With ranged shot i hit for about 800, if that.

ranged shot and placed have a shorted timer, and have to have a slightly higher DPS from what i have read

What the...? Jedi trolls from Starsider even follow me here? Hilarious.


For the record, when you are meditating there is a damage multiplier that is the same as if you were prone or knocked down. When you are hit with a /snipershot in that posture, well, damage is muuuucho. If I follow up the /snipershot with a /knockdown + /startleshot, the /startleshot is pretty high damage which is also multiplied by your knocked down posture. Since /startleshot is a daze (the "exploit" you are talking about) you cannot do any actions for 5 seconds -- including standing up or force healing, thus you are stuck in the knocked down postureunable to stand or healfor 5 seconds or until you take damage again -- which is where my /adv.critshot comes in ... damage multiplied a third time because you are in a knocked down posture still.


Look, don't come here and accuse me of exploits because you got owned in 3 shots. MMMMkay?

i had a critical using underhand shot last night so its working. As for critical slices though...most people are going to have guns that by the time the damage is capped and the speed is to the special cap there wont be enough customization for much of a critical slice.

Im one of those who prefer the higher lvl Specials ...but if my action goes down i switch to a High Power Barel (dam pup) and use ranged placed shot. Mostly its when the Mdef is low on force and of course not exploited his crystals and saber so he cant kill me in 3 hits.


Best slices for the Weapon is and i think its for everyone who is Speedcapped specially a rifleman - 8% dam slice / 2% speed slice / 3% crit slice = 100% customization. It also only eats up 1 Illegal Core Bosster for all these slices.


Another point why Speedslice 12% is worthless is most good BH's are already overspeeded by mods f.e. +25 gen ranged speed + 25 rifle speed. So ranged Placed Shot are at the highest speed already due to these.


Since i can handle speed and know the caps i only have a +13 gen speed tape and the +25 ones for the more important things like rifle def and acc stuff melee def ranged def and so on...


For a rifleman most damage dealers are (the ones who not own an uber carb) the speed cap comes really early and thats why speed is the less important thing a rifleman needs.
