Thread: XP nerf messes with us too
the change is for EVERYONE. do not buy into the jedi patsy strategy they are pushing.
if you think it was just for jedi, ask yourself why it was applied to everyone?
and i heard mbh xp requirment went up 20k also, couple of other class masters too, but that's just what i read, i could be wrong. wasn't it 320k combat last week?
XP changes don't bother me, and yes I am redoing a template.
Most people in MMO's break neck to max level then complain about having nothing to do.

Smart move on SOE to extend the life of the game for new players from one week to 3 months. Instead of them letting them become insta uber and bored in 1 week.
Would you run if you were about to lose a weeks grind to some BH who can take you out in a few shots?????

They are going to run like hell now, yes, but will be FAR easier to kill, I think.
The Jedi who runs thinks he's going to lose to you, so in his mind, he's already lost. If you force the fight by rooting, snaring, and KD'ing him there is a better chance that you WILL win, since he's already assumed that you would beat him.
The NICE thing about 22 is that we can now pull our bikes ANYWHERE, instantly. So if they do FR away, we can hop on the bike, get back in range and repeat the root, snare, kd stuff to force the fight. At the very least they will get the BH tef, not allowing them to enter private structures.
I am for reverting xp back to the way it was.
Alot of points above my post are valid however the main one is that it will be a difficult decision to change template and try something new, thus lenghting the shelf life of the game.
Like the CU this change may end up losing more of SOE's customers for them. Unfortunate for them and unwise decision.

I agree. let's revert xp back to the way it was. XP in a group should be based on damage that was inflicted. The more damage you inflict, the more xp you get.
What, you people don't remember how much harder it was for newer players to get xp in the pre cu days?
I like the fact that by running they are not grinding. Usually when they run from me, they find nice big lake and log off. I will sit there afk though for hours while reading my book if I need to waiting for them to log back on though. When the log in after 5min (thinking they are savvy) I will still be there... waiting.
Best thing i ever did in that situation was the time that I followed a Jedi to a lake and watched him log off. Then after a min or 2, I rode over to where his location was and did /find shuttle. I found which direction the closest shuttle was, made a beeline for the shore, then stored the bike and laid down to /cover. About 7-8 min later the Jedi logged back in... do you know which way he went? Right past me on his AV-21....
So I popped the AV-21 with conceal shot, and he just stood there, looking around, not understanding what just happened. Then he pulled a swoop out and I popped that too. Then he started spamming nonsense in spatial, so I did /kd, /root, /sniper, /head, critical, and killed him. It was glorious.

Lowering XP for everyone lowers the amount of xp you get totrade in at the village, thus making it harder to even unlock jedi. This in conjunction with the Combat xp trade in rate will grately slow down letting new jedi in.

Yep, your right.....this patch made me think....why in the hell am i still playing this game in this morbid condition? so i cancled....one less padiwan you guys will see. SWG R.I.P.
