I would say the same thing to you, since all professions will be equal

Jedi will complain the most about the name game. Trust me. I've played on TC.

Yeah, that's because they'd just gone from toons with presumably full or near-full templates to Jedi with single-digit CL's. And even if that were not the case, anyone who wanted Jedi just to be "uber" is likely to be disappointed - and I'm glad, a lot of those people will hopefully quit the game.

I bet most of those people who complain are not real jedi in live servers and I bet are bounty hunters too testing jedi. You hate jedi and enjoy hunting us, but at theend is all envy.

Some of the Jedi that post here have real issues. PvP was never forced. No one forced you to play the game in the first place. And once you started playing no one forced you to be Jedi and after that second decision no one forced you to get vis.

I was once a Novice Artisan novice marksman. I attacked a rebel NPC and got teffed. Out of nowhere jumps 3 Jedi and gank me, didn't have my stuff insured either. Might I point out that the difference in strength between our toons was far bigger than between a post CU BH and a CL 70 paddy. Did I cry like some of the Jedis? No I thought it was fun and exciting. Besides no one forced me to whack that NPC.

/salute to all Jedis out there who didn't give or ask for mercy but fought fair and didn't talk trash no matter the outcome.

"There was lots of reading, much too much, in the game. There was a lot of wandering around learning about different abilities. We really needed to give people the experience of being Han Solo or Luke Skywalker rather than being Uncle Owen, the moisture farmer. We wanted more instant gratification: kill, get treasure, repeat. We needed to give people more of an option to be part of what they have seen in the movies rather than something they had created themselves."

It just seems that you do not understand what forced pvp is... any time that you pvp in circumstances not of your choosing, it is an example of forced pvp. You point out an outdated example, because faction TEFs were eliminated a long time ago, and that type of forced pvp was eliminated a long time ago.

Now, with the elimination of player bounties, the last type of forced pvp is being removed from the game... if you think hard about it, you might even notice a pattern: forced pvp eliminated from the GCW, forced pvp eliminated from the Jedi profession. You notice that pattern? Yeah, that's right, the pattern shows that the powers that be gradually eliminated all forms of forced pvp from the game.

And this is one of the few things in which I think they are absolutely 100% right -- forced pvp should be a thing of the past

How to SHAME any seasoned Jedi with ease.

Step 1. Find Jedi.

Step 2. /Insert (Jedi Name), and say. "Yo I just bought this like a day ago, and i'm almost finished with grinding paddy!.

Step 3. Sit back, and watch as the jedi feels like a total dumbass for investing so much grinding timeinto a soon to be worthless profession.

I know it is an outdated example. It was chosen for the purpose of showing that not everyone thought that unexpected not forced PvP was a bad thing.

PC missions may be regarded as forced from your point of view not mine. "...Circumstances not of your choosing..." Well you choose when you became a Jedi. The fact that the consequences of your choice didn't immediately or at a for you convenient time showed themselves don't make it forced.

Yeah, I was well aware of the fact that some people didn't mind forced pvp... you do not need to tell me that.

And yes, Jedi missions were *forced pvp* because you didn't get to say whether and under what circumstances you might be attacked by other players... any way you slice it, it was forced pvp.
