Thread: Are Ranged Cybernetics Worth It???

i have both ranged cyber arms, and one of them has the /cybersnipshot which is supposed to be a ranged DB but i've never used them. does the cybersnipshot work when the target is incapped?
Unsure.
I've noticed a massive increase to damage when used though, which I'm sure wasn't there before.
I am MBH/MRM and use both ranged arms when PvE'ing. Mostly for range issues. I often times will use one ranged arm and the rez arm when PvP'ing with the guild too, since I can then rez players with it. A nice thing to have.
But when hunting Jedi, I want all the defense I can get, and have both arms removed for the added armor protection. I've hunted both with and without them, and do notice a difference although it's not much, it can mean the difference between an incap and having 100 health.
saber body hit will then do more dmg than head hit or leg hit... all 3 should do the same amount of dmg.
at the moment thats all i can say

I ditched my cyber arms and have been a much better BH since. You can get enhanced arm armor for a total of +180 health without using your cybernetic arms.
Hmmm, I think I've just been convinced to use them as wall decorations again. Thanks guys!!!
Now, if only I could decide whether to got MP or MCM... ![]()

Trust me. A good Jedi will get within saber range eventually. I never found kiting effective anyway because if you maintain a 80m range and are beating the hell outta the Jedi...he'll just run away and now you have a much greater range to catch up.
I got rid of the arms and instead changed up my food choice to include low filling synth steak and ruby B. and I do just fine. The armor hole given with the arms just doesnt justify the extra 25m when a Jedi with force run can easily run up to you anyway. If you're KD'ed and rooted by your mark, just pop a synth steak and (if your MRifleman) startle shot him and untarget him to buy yourself some time for the root to wear off, then you can either KD him or root him to get out of saber range (32m). If the startle doesnt land you can pop a synth steak and Duelist stance and try to spam your KD shot until his root wears off ya. Play defensively and youll be fine.

Don't ditch the arms they have good points and as i see no bad points decay doesn't affect my +15 range bonus.
Show up with my mission and I'll show you how bad ranged arms when fighting Jedi. Especially if they have Pre-CU sabers.
