Lol, my macro is:
/duel
/endduel
With no pause in there, a BH will not have an oppertunity to send a /duel back, so I am not concerned at all about this.
Hmmm, so you are admitting to exploiting? I would delete that post pretty quickly if I were you
He said he has a macro made for this. He did not say he uses it.
I don't know why we have to debate this every few days.
Here are the facts:
1) If you look at TANKS stickied Top BH Issues thread you will see that the Devs have acknowledged this as an issue.
2) Using a game mechanic in an unintented way to gain an advantage is an exploit.
3) It is fruitless to try to convince the lamer jedi that use this that it is an exploit.

This is a response from a CSR who cant even spell, not a dev. Keep looking thou you might find one somewhere, Btw these are the same CSRS that said Premium pearls would be back in the next publish (pub 21 was when I asked). So keep whining.

I guess you are one of those who have no respect for CSR's, iknow they can be stupid and uninformed once a while but anyway... You should just be carefull, there are guys like this one you see in the screenshotwho might even ban you if they see it fit! Its a exploit - Yes - Why? - Well, CSR's are the closest you, me and most of us here on the forums will ever come to a Dev unless its livechat with someone from the Dev Team!
/duel; /endDuel isat this moment a "broken game mechanic" that interfears with the Bounty Hunter Profession and their contentand if you get reported and a CSR who dosnt like that kind of "exploiting" will give you a warning or in a worst case senario for a Jedi like yourself> BAN YOU! Through out my long time as a Bounty Hunter i have not bothered reporting Jedi for little stuff, but gamebreakers like this will once a while get my attention and ill report if i feel like it. And for your information, Jedi have have to see 2 week bans from me. Last one was one was many months ago when the trash talk went in to "real life threats", lol
He got banned, 2 weeks and i got many messages from a CSR saying if i ever saw himtalk like that again he would recive the PERMA BAN
Well, enough of this trip back memory lane...
Play your way, but dont take all CSRs for jokes cause they are people and if they dont "like you", you may get in some trouble!
Me, i dont care, im retired and just felt like having a chat with a cuple CSRs about the subject... There are Bounty Hunters who are effected by this and i care about them!

riddle me this, batman....why did they implement the game mechanic that only applies in bh/jedi situations if it was unintended to make use of it?
check the patch notes.
So, are you saying the purpose of /duel is to check to see if a BH has your mission? That is the implemented purpose of this command? I'm sorry but I don't understand your question.

Everytime i read this forum, i am ashamed of being a BH myself.
1.I don't believe screenshots of chats simply because the CSRs don't believe them either. For good reason its too easy to fake them.
2. how will you determine if someone is just trying to duel you or not ? You gonna write a ticket for every person that tries to duel you? ;-)
3. I have seen so many fellow BHs that drive to their mark who is leveling in a group and just standing there while every jedi waits who the mark is just to annoy/stalk them.
4. everytime someone does /duel; /end; on you, you already missed the chance of your first strike cause even though your droid shows you the waypoint and distance to your mark you drove too close to early and when the jedi discovered you - he simply wants to see if he is the mark or not to go along with whatever he was doing.
Fellow BHs were the people that started using the /duel exploit to kill jedi, thats why they implemented this change that makes it possible for a jedi to see if he is the target or not.
As soon as a jedi does /duel on you he is ready for your attack anyways. Stop whining go ahead and use the lame mcm templates.
I was a proud BH pre-curb that could take out any jedi with any template solo as long as he did not haveMLS (85% block). yes ranged, no it was no 2482058dmg weapon but crafted and i just knew my tempalte and skills. Today it makes me sick how any n00b can grind and kill a full template jedi without much skill only using the fotm and a guide from a forum. I refuse to hunt jedi until BH is a honorable skill again that requires more than the standard equip and gear.

You just made my day with this post.

no - i was saying, that the change that followed after BHs started using the /duel bug has caused the situation that a jedi can now check if someone has a mission on him or not. Sorry if it sounded different.
Also - you can prevent that a Jedi gets the notification that someone has a mission on him when doing /duel. If you know how, he will be able to send you a duel challange even though you have a mission on him. But to know that - it takes more than just leveling fotm template and stack dots ![]()
