Pick a kinetic weapon. You have many choices, scatter,fwg,nyms,czerka,fallan hyper rifle, assault bowcaster.
If they have a psg on your 1184 damage gun will do less damage than a 900 damage kinetic weapon.
Pay attention to your combat tab and test on a defender so you know what your gun does with and without a psg. That way you can swap to the correct gun when your in combat.

As a M-Def Jedi who uses a PSG sometimes (darn things die so fast), I can honestly say that they make little difference. They only helped against ranged energy weapons, and their condition drops really quickly (recharge rate doesn't help much). As far as I've noticed, they're good for about the first 3-4 hits of the fight and not much else. Not sure what the stats on Post-CU PSG's are, but all my Pre-CU ones have less than 2000 protection.

but if you adk it and its pre some certain patch and its awesome it will last the whole fight

won't work...I had an adk'd awesome psg and it turned to crap and does not work.
My post cu really nice psg's are a lot better then my pre cu really nice ones...
