Thanks SOE. Do you really just want jedi only in the game? Seriously
And I bet you didn't go looking for a single one did you?Jedi on Kashyyyk = shooting fish in a barrel.
At least 75% of the Jedi on Kashyyyk are grinding on the Rryatt trails in one of the 6 instances. All you have to do is find out which instance they are in and you have the easiest kill of your life. But of course, most bounty hunters seem to be too lazy to have to go look for the Jedi without their seeker droids giving them a flashing ------->> "Your mark is here" sign.
I was in jedi grinding groups all weekend and a well known bounty hunter on our server killed 5 or 6 before being beat (he got over confident and was standing right next to a prepared, nearly complete template jedi when he attacked).
Whining about Jedi on Kashyyyk is the most rediculous thing I've ever heard of. All it means is you're lazy. Real bounty hunters are making millions killing Jedi on the trails. You don't have to know the marks name. If you know which instance the groups are grinding in, you will be pulling Kashyyyk missions on PURPOSE because you know exactly where they are.
All I can say is that Bounty Hunters that are to stupid to figure this out don't deserve to be called Bounty Hunters.

Yeah search for a player whose name you do not know. Through every instance through the spiders....they could be in the mydrill too btw. It's not worth the time. and don't forget the LOS bug. You do not know what you are talking about at all.
YOu said you found them last weekend...big deal. You had their names.
Sorry, it's you who don't know what youre talking about.Im not a Bounty Hunter. Im one of the targets. But let me teach you a little something about Jedi hunting habits since you won't take the time to learn.First, the best way of getting XP from feral wookiees is to wait for them all to spawn, then a tank goes through and collects them all where they are brought to the rest of the group waiting by the bridge. Then everyone in the group uses an area attack like spin or lightning aura so that they are all killed quickly and at the same time and everyone in the group gets XP.This means that when you make your way to the Jedi, they will either be engaged with 20 wookiees at the same time or sitting waiting for the spawn having channeled force (meaning they will have very low max hps) and many will be afk surfing the web while they're waiting for the spawn. Like I said, shooting fish in a barrel.Second, there is usually one or two full groups going amongst the six instances on the trails. If you find out which one it is, you don't have to search through every instance for your mark because you'll have a pretty good idea that he's in the same instance of the last jedi you killed.Third, most jedi hunting groups don't exploit the LOS bridge. Why? The answer is so simple as to be pathetic. When new group members come in, they draw aggro from the wookiees and just keep running until the wookiees return to their place. That means that the group is usually camped on the far bridge which is NOT LOS bugged. Many of the jedi that are grinding are fairly inexperienced in PvP or are scared to death of BHs that when they are attacked, they go nuts and lose their mind and dont think about going to the LOS bridge. And of course, alot of people simply dont use it because they know its an exploit and dont want to cheat. Yeah, many do, but most dont. The Myydril caves is a place experienced Jedi go to fight the necrosis and such, but grinders dont go there because the U'sori are much harder to kill and give less XP. So while there is a chance your mark will be hunting at the Caves, you have a much better chance of catching them in one of the instances on the trails. And as I said above, once you know where the group is grinding, thats where youre going to find the majority of your marks.I give you this glimpse into the Jedi grinding group because I know for a fact that all you are whining about is not true. I know this because there are certain bounty hunters who have this knowledge and make a great deal of money killing Jedi grinding on the trails. If one can do it, so can you. All you have to do is put in the effort. And Im sorry to say, if you can't do that, you don't deserve to hunt Jedi. Just go back to your NPC marks.
S/he MAY be rude about it....but this is correct. I broke my own record hunting AFK Jedi on the Rryatt trail and make cose to 2 mill in about 6 hours, killing 9 Jedi.
The truth is this....if your a well enough known BH, many Jedi who are NOT AFK go running for the LOS as soon as they see you. So you have to hope you get lucky and pull a mission for an AFK Jedi. All things being equal...when "hunting" on the Rryatt trail a BHs success is based soely on the status of the Jedi. That is the end all be all. I have had almost fully templated Jedi who were not AFK go running for the LOS, and make it. As it is now...because we don't get the name of the Jedi, our ambush style "burst run fromt he last bridge" is gone. We must now take the time to cycle through targets...this throws the "first strike" right out the window. This gives the Jedi just enough time to "wake up", at which point it's not worth it when the Jedi moves to the LOS.
Either way...the purpose for Kashyyyk is very clear to me now...and that makes me upset.

{/insert 'fixes' here}
BH
*Names are given when the system feels like giving the names of the Jedi you hunt-this will make BHing much more exciting!
*Jedi in the mark's group will be able to attack the Bounty Hunter-this will make it so you have to single out the Jedi and much more challenging!
*Payouts are reduced to that of a normal mission (6k-12k)
*In order to preserve morality in the game, BHs can only attack if the Jedi want to be attacked. This will prevent all forms of griefing.
Jedi
*You get a message on your screen saying, "You feel a disturbance in the Force" when a Bounty Hunter is less than 1km away from you
*Jedi SP reduction-it now goes 4 for novice, 4 for tier 1, 3 for tier 2, 2 for tier 3, and 1 for tier 4/Master. This will allow much more diversity.
*Lightsaber will now actually dismember your nonJedi enemies! Depending on a new "Gore" setting, you can see arms go flying, or the casual hand-get-cut-off.
Kashyyyk
*All XP gained on Kashyyyk is tripled as to help out those on the Rryatt trails.
*Sped up the spawn of Feral wookies as to make the game progress much faster for those grinding AFK
*BHs are attacked automatically if they are on Kashyyyk by a squad of elite Wookies (lvl 92 as to prevent "griefing"); they are mad at you because you are about to kill one of their friends killing those evil wookies in the Trail.
CH
*CH can now tame plants! You can even tame the elusive Aldeeran flower!
*CH is being renamed Crap Handler-to emphasize this, CHs can now call out lamps, as they are now fixed
*If a Wookie is a CH, it can cough up a furball in order to produce a mini-Wookie (lvl 1, 1 health, and grants 60x normal XP)-Jedi now <3 Wookie CHs (especially to emphasize what's going on at Kashyyyk)

Good grief, and I thought I had heard it all before. Non-AFK players leading Jedi to their sacred exploit. Unbelievable. The game truly has hit rock bottom.
I KNEW about this....but there was no WAY I was going to mention it in public. Since it's now out in the open...the first time I saw this...I about laughed right out of my chair (literally...no joke), I couldn't stop. They looked like a bunch of cockroaches running when the lights come on. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. 8 or 9 Jedi all following behind the "leader roach" to safety just because little ol me decided to stop down and say "hi". I laughed so many tears that day....
*and my heart died...man I love this profession, but it is getting to be a bigger burden then it has EVER been before*
Drove my BARC to my Mark but got nerfed when he cried
And good ol' boys kissed their scatters goodbye
Singing this will be the day that I die.....
I laughed a ton on this one...
You forgot to add the "death sentence" "this will make CH more exciting....
Everytime I see that in Pub notes for BH, I just KNOW we will not like it.

Bye, bye to the Pikatta Pie

That is hilarious. Reinforces the joke this game has become.

Yeah.. forgot to ask Tiggs for some help. But hey, those plants could put a serious ass-whoppin' on a nuna (maybe, and only if the plant is in a good mood). *tingles* I just get so excited to get to log on to call out my plants! W00t!
AT LEAST THE PLANTS LISTEN! From what I hear, pet are totally ignoring all commands. What makes THIS even funnier? I read in a recent "spoof" Pub update thread, that pet will now ignore all commands, and turn on the CH. So far, it's turned out to be HALF true.

But let me teach you a little something about Jedi hunting habits since you won't take the time to learn.
Let me tell you something about my experiences as a BH.
Running down the trail with spiders and wookies on my tail, just before I get to the last bridge, long before the grinding Jedi are visible, I get 7 duel attempts. The one duel attempt I didnt see on screen is the Jedi I have a mission on. By this time I am running down the last bridge, just in time to see said Jedi running to the LOS exploit bridge. I get rid of my aggro and go take a seat beside him.
Then begins a game of waiting, who wants it more. Sooner or later the Jedi is going to realise that they are not going to get any xp so either logs or joins the group again and I wait till an opportune time to kill them.
Now I have the names of the Jedi in the group, so take note of any that are afk, go back to the terminals and get their mission and repeat. I do this twice, the group is struggling to handle the spawns so well with two corpses in the group and I have some unsavoury names.
I used to do this and maybe get 3 or 4 jedi this way, not having names makes the experience so much harder to do but not impossible, but why spend time hunting a Kash Jedi when I can do someone who is more readily available.
Hunting at the feral wookies, I dont have a problem with, the spawn seems kinda slow to me, you can make more xp in a regular group. those that use the /duel exploit and the LOS bug I do have a problem with. These are the ones that make doing missions on Kash a waste of time. I have the determination to search 6 instances to find my mark, but if my mark then runs and exploits to save his hide, you can bet I am going to sit there for three days until my mission clears or I kill him. But why should I.

Lamest excuse ever. Who ever said it was supposed to be quick and easy?
Well, you are part right. I have chased jedi for days in the past, trying to find them on Kashyyyk or dealing with them logging out frequently. But... with this most recent change, your mission is on a timer and will decay. It's not supposed to be easy, but with publish 20, it had better be fairly quick or it will be a waste of time as your mission evaporates from your datapad. You still have time to do your mission, but running through up to six instances for an anonymous mark who may not even be online while you hear a stopwatch ticking is kind of messed up.
