The best way to use your respec is to grind out Image Designer first

ID is fast, easy, and take less Skill Pointsto master.
You can maser ID very quickly by sitting alone next to the ID trainer and ID'ing yourself.
Master ID gives you a full compliment of Elite points that you can respec into an Elite combat profession

Other games also require re-rolling your character to switch classes....
I doubt it'll ever be offered in SWG. With the massive changes to profession abilities, bonuses, etc introduced with the CU, the devs had to offer some sort of option other than regrinding. But to be honest, I don't really see any future need for respecs other than for people who are too lazy to put in the actual work to get what they want.
Ok, you may be a "casual" player and feel that getting that new prof takes too long, but if you count in-game time, it takes the same amount of play to reach Master {whatever} whether you play 10 hours a day or 10 hours a week.

It takes less than a couple of days go re-grind (assuming you are already lvl 80). My lvl 1 Ithorian still has a respec though - I think I'll be using that on BH 4xxx... you can't AOE that
Seems the new system makes leveling up very difficult for low levels and easy for anybody an AOE group will accept.

Hello!
I am still able to respec my character. Is it worth me going to Master BH, with no BH experience, or should I get novice and grind?
Decisions decisions decisions!!!
