WHAT?? ROFL um no melee can beat me and im CL 55 MCH/master artisan, using only default rifle attacks...ive dueled LOTS of melee CL 80's, and killed em all. Not true, ranged owns now.

really depends on the template.
If they are healer melee they will be able to close eventually... and you will die. The damage output of a pure ranged template does not keep up with the healing rate of a healer and with armor break in the arsenal of the meleer you might as well not have armor. Roots and snares do not help much when they get enraged and they move faster then you can with your weapon equiped.
This of course will change drastically in the next few days while we find out what SLs do to the combat equation. If SL armor break helps a lotand defense buffs help it may change much.

It is possible however to run a melee/healer out of mind, it just takes a VERY long time.... took me 40 mins last time.
