here's what i'm at right now after much posting and pestering this forum:


the master of pikes of course...and...

fencer 4440

tka 0300

medic 2340


pretty decent actually, found the extra injury treatment speed and first aid a big help in pvp and pve. idropped meditate, i now think it was a waste to have at all. anyways i like where i'm at right now and i'll see what the combat revamp has to offer b4 changing anything.

Are they a doctor, if so, leave out the -1 use mind fire and spam with it. Do they only have mediocre defense, swords/doc, pike/doc, ranged profession. If yes, switch to hammer or scythe and start spamming headhit3. Are they a jedi, after using lots and lots of fire to health/mind, take out either the 1k dmg pike and spam hit3 or the hammer and use headhit3.
Right now my equiptment as far as pikes/swords are:
a 1k dmg lva
700 dmg vl
183 str -1 use mind fire,
like 4 or so 150 str, about 5k use mind fires
a few 250 str mind poisons, 5k-9k uses
two 250 str health fires
+25 acc, +32 speed, all in attachemnts(thats pike)
+15 swords speed
regular damage slice scythe like 405 max
decent hammer, somethin like 681, haven't had time to play and gather bones and/or cash
87/40 stun armor

I use that site all the time. what i didn't know until i recently finished my template is that one of the numbers are wrong with that thing. there could be more wrong.... but this is whats wrong with mine.

i get a melee defence of 174 i believe (i know for sure its over 170)

with that site it tells me my melee defence will be at 166.

could it be becasue i'm trendoshen????

Well.... I used to be a master rifleman/master ranger, Medic 1000. This was a great template for PVE. If you're smart and use tactics when you hunt, you can kill unbuffed and unarmoredMOST of the time. If you plan on harvesting for a living you'll need a master elite combat profession no question about it. Rifleman is high damage, but comes with high Ham cost. Right now...I'm TKM/swords 0024 plusRanger 0040. I switched because I got bored with animations of rifleman and wanted to try melee out. Rifleman can do many damage types with the different rifles, melee is somewhat limited. Pikeman can do kinetic, energy (i believe) and electricity. Swordsman blast, kinetic. TKA kinetic. Fencer Stun, kinetic. Rifleman Acid, stun, cold, energy, Kinetic (with the tusken king rifle only from what I've seen). There are advantages and disadvantages to all of them. I'm not too familiar with carbineer or pistoleer so I can't speak for those. Nor am I too familiar with Fencer, pikeman. Because getting to ranger requires master scout, and because it's really hard to hunt successfully unless you master an elite combat prof, you don't have a lot of extra sp to play with.


But that's what's great about ranger. Many people only take a few trees in ranger while others master it. It's completely up to you. I like TKM so much i might just forget swords and get my HTFB's back. I really didn't use traps that much..so I don't plan on getting trapping back. Again, it's up to you. Master Ranger is great...don't get me wrong...and I miss it very much, but each person is different and has a different idea about their own character. What most people do to is take up medic. It's always a good idea to be able to heal yourself, because sometimes things don't go according to plan and you just can't escape taking damage.


I haven't tried crafting profs so I can't help you with that sorry.



I do believe there are stickies somewhere up above concerning questions about templates. There are others on these boards who have far more experience than I do also...so maybe if you check the above stickies some of your questions will get answered.

trandoshan get +10 melee defense, so you geyt 176 with that template, as 166 is correct for just the skills alone.


but sicne its capped at 125 is there any worry ?

Defense Vs. Posture Change (Down) +80

Melee Defense +144 (capped)

Ranged Defense +117


and gives me 14 pts left


Now the choices i feel i have are to get:


1, TKA 4004 (Power boost Force of Will meditate etc)


2, TKA 0304 Medic 1000 (give extra state defences 10 blind/20 knockdown/5 dizzy/30 posture down/15 stun and a tiny bit of extra power in my heal)


3, Medic 2030 (with some nice stim c's and the ability to heal bleeds could be useful)


4, Drop Novice Med pick up tka 4304 and fencer 3440 (gives allthe pros of the first two choices and caps ranged defence but means i cant heal myself, which while not a real issue in pve might become annoying in pvp)


But i kinda dont know what to choose, meditating is nice, but is some nice defences or extra healing worth it? or should i just drop medic and go all out?


Just not sure myself, anyone got any input?

if you're considering medic just get novice medic and eat havla you can heal fast with less than 30 filling for 1 hour.... i eat a synthsteak and havla when i'm gearing up for pvp by the time i get in a fight i have half an hour of each remaining and an empty stomach.

Ok im seeing a ton of jedi with the template of master lightsaber master healer and something like 4040 in enhancer. Just wondering wut is this template the best for and wut are advantges and disadvantages?
