you can cap sense exp fast with grinding area poisons, just spam it near a low level mob lair and it will cap it in a flash.
bad part is.... you gotta cap it ALOT.

i did this with Malkloc lairs on Dantooine. they spawn like crazy, i would say you can get 8-10 Malkloc out of the lair at once and just spam the HECK out of area C's
you will cap you 80k med XP quickly

I did it the hard/stupid way, tried to use my laser rifle and rode around dant killing anything under 10k HAM. If you want to do it the easy/fast way get a speed sliced featherweight FWG5 and some ubease armor(comp if you can afford it) and go to dant and do quenker missions, you should be able to do it in one or two buff sets.
Also I hear that if you buy some crates of grenades(forgot the specific kind) and use those on lairs you will get pure combat XP instead of weapon XP.

In order to get a master melee prof you need to get about 400k combat XP anyways

Grab some C12 Nades and hit the mission terms ungrouped for low lvl lairs and hit the nest with nades so that all the creatures defending it come back and your Combat XP will fill faster than you can keep track of missions.
Did the 40K twice in two days cause I couldn't decide weather to go Commando or BH so I picked Commando and realized I had not done BH and wanted to give it a shot.

I am having trouble getting Combat XP (ei: Ranged support). I am 4/0/1/3 marksman and am trying to get rilfeman. Can anybody help me out with this or explain to me why I only get about 10% combat xp of the rifle xp i get. So far i already have enough rifle xp to get one of the blocks in the rifleman template but i dont even have enough combat ex to get there. I am goin from memory here but i think i lack about 2300 combat xp to get ranged support 4 which will then allow me to get novice rifleman. My overall CL is 14

Respec the last level. I had the same problem, but once I broke into novice rifleman, I was getting great combat exp, and its been keeping up with the other skills. Not the case when I was in marksman. Might be bugged, who knows.

Combat xp has always been 10%. Also group with some lvl 80's and stand behind them and volley fire after THEY pull the aggro. You'll never out damage them so you should never die. TONS of xp...

I got on tonight and finally made novice rifleman WITHOUT respecing to it which makes me very happy because i dont think anyone should be given a skill box. I think they should earn it just like everyone else had to. Enough about that. After grouping all evening tonight i finally got novice rifleman and only need one more skill box of trapping to get novice ranger. /cheer; /airguitar

Sorry it this is posted somewhere, I haven't seen it.
What if even as a jedi we still get the 10% combat xp normal professions get? Is combat with a lightsaber not combat? This would in no way shape or form speed up the jedi grind. It will however, give us a reasonable way to change our FS boxes around. It has already been tested and proven that if you bring up a 7th FS branch to tier IV you could drop one of your original 6. Jedi is the only profession in the game incappible of gaining xp for it's "prerequisit skills." Since they have completely changed the game and not allowed us to atleast respec these boxes, I see this as being a completely fair and reasonable idea.
