I Call BS on that.

On our server, a handfull of WS horde ALL the loot components by offering high price and then sell weapons for astronomical prices.

How does this help the other WS.

Just wish the roadblocks and delays on canceling pre-order wern't such a pain.

Tipical SOE BAIT and SWITCH

QFE!! Especially since Japan is closing..how can you STILL say the game is better with the CFU?

Is that true? Are the Japanese servers closing down? I wonder what it all means.

EA Japan to discontinue service of the LucasArts game; problematic sci-fi MMORPG to continue in US, Europe.

While American fans of the PC massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars Galaxies eagerly await tomorrow's release of the game's next expansion pack, Star Wars Galaxies: Trials of Obi-Wan, SWG players in a region far, far away are feeling a disturbance in The Force.

On its Web site, Electronic Arts Japan, the game's Japanese publisher, is reporting that it is discontinuing its support for Star Wars Galaxies in the country. Apparently, Japanese gamers who wish to continue on will have their accounts transferred to American or European servers, which remain unaffected.

This isn't the first time the Sony Online Entertainment game has disappointed fans. In addition to bringing the ire of several (perhaps overzealous) fans over support issues, uproar over a recent update(publish 22)nearly started an online boycott of the game. The issue was eventually resolved, with SOE scrapping the planned update.

It is false advertising. Could someone please explain to me why I looted the exact same thing from the STORM LORD CL90 that I did from the CL67 Arachnoids quest? Every single stat on the "caller of storms" master fencer weapon was identical between the 2 quests. People and Devs keep implying that there are different versions of the loot depending on the level of the mob. I'm just not buying it.

7) Symbiosis [combat (voluntary)]

Rewards: Caller of Storms (CL55, Fencer:Master)

Start: Bag (“Inspect”), [1328,-2508], Mining Fields, Mustafar

Part 1: A virus? - Examine the dead Treasure Hunter corpses in the immediate area; Radial menu: “Examine corpse”; Combat: Spawns 2 Unknown Arachnoids (CL67) each time; On one of the corpses you’ll get the next part of the quest

Part 2: Dangerous indeed - Grab the contents of the Bag [1328,-2508]; Radial menu: “Seal and grab container”

Part 3: Stop the plague - Lava river [1296,-2275]; Travel to the waypoint and you will throw the bag into the lava

Part 4: Looking for clues - Corpses [1335,-2516]; Examine the dead Treasure Hunter corpse up on the hill [1346,-2565]; Radial menu: “Examine corpse”

Part 5: All you can do - Combat: After the second popup message you get the reward and 6 Unknown Arachnoids (CL67) will spawn, you don’t have to fight them though

14) Sickness of the Storm Lord [combat]

Rewards: Mustafarian Injector (Advanced Poison Protection)

Start: Jural, [3321,2139], Berken’s Flow Jedi Ruins, Mustafar

Part 1: Destroy the Storm Lord Minions - Combat: Kill 15 Storm Lord Minions (CL80); Found all around the ruins at [3207,1260]

Part 2: Return to Jural

Part 3: Destroy the Storm Lord Zealots - Combat: Kill 10 Storm Lord Zealots (CL83) ; Found all around the ruins at [3077,1259]

Part 4: Return to Jural

Part 5: Defeat the Prophet of the Storm Lord - Combat: Prophet of the Storm Lord (CL87 Boss Jedi) [3195,770]

Part 6: Return to Jural

Part 7: Defeat the Storm Lord - Combat: The Storm Lord (CL90 Boss Jedi) [3069,1131]

Part 8: Return to Jural

Ok, I apologize if this has been posted before, but I skipped right to the last page after the first. It doesn't look like anyone here has realized this. A couple of points:

  • The devs never said that the frog weapons in beta would be quest rewards. In fact, if you listened to some of the corrospondants, or knew something about beta weapons, you would know that frog weapons have nearly no tie to live stats of the weapon.

  • Most, if not all of the new weapons recently introduced are craftable. This supports the WSs. Consider the easy quest rewards more of weapon just for show, the good ones are far more difficult to get.

  • It has been made clear that weapons drop with distinct different sets of stats. Many players claim that there are exactly three levels of weapons dropping. The weapon you are talking about is clearly at the bottom of this. I'm not going to spell it out, but if you're looking for loot weapons that are actually close to useful, try looking into the hk-47 quest line...

Better weapons are out there, they just take more than an easyshort little quest line to obtain. Rest assured the good ones are actually going to take some work to get to.

Ok, an update I found out.. The DP-23 from the lower end quests is the crappy one.. HOWEVER, you can loot the better from from Doombringer (I currently have the crappy one too).

DP-23 Rifle (From Doombringer - in theHK-47 (YT-2400) Quests):

Speed: 2.7

Damage: 625-1248

Base DPS: 346

Special Attack Cost: 88

So, there are several versions of at least some (maybe all) weapons floating around, just need to find the good ones.

You can loot the real rifle from Doombringer or HK-47, I believe.

rimy i'm with you there, more likely i would of preferred getting a schematic instead of a weapon and then giving that scheamtic (3 or 5 use or whatever) to the WS and having them craft your weapon, and those stat's given were the caps of the weapon.

There are a few schems in this, but most are no trade.. go figure.
