Look I've been a Commando since January 2004. And guess what through all that time we have been nerfed.

I will do anything to see Commando fixed. I feel it is our duty to make the Commando a true profession.

I'm glad you have fun but I do not. Commando was never meant to be Crowd Control. I’ve never been interested in "Crowd Control". I like my pure damage please. If I wanted to be some power freak I would have dropped Commando and started grinding Jedi.

I'm tired of being "lesser". I'm tired of being un-wanted. Have you noticed nobody likes us?

Who says damn we need a Commando?

No one. The only part of us that is actually Commando is what we have at heart. And then I dare ask why play this Profession at all?

That's right remove Commando as a Profession. But then make our Weapons usable by anyone! No one will really want to use the PFT or RL they just aren't real effective Weapons and you couldn't get XP from them or anything. So in truth we could still use our Weapons but then pick up and build real templates. We could be Commandos then! A full arsenal of Specials and we can really use any Weapon like a Real Commando!

I'm not actually whining or a whiner (Well Maybe) but that is how you must fight SOE!


But Video Games are suppose to be fun. I don't think it's fun when your Profession is borked from being what it should be. I just want to be an equal of everyone else.

Wasn't that the point of the CU?

If you have just a Master Commando versus just a Master BH or any other Combat Prof. except Squad Leader you will lose.

I already pay $15 to have fun. That is for fixing things, like our Profession.

We are being cheated.

I remember why I wanted to become a Commando...

When I was a nOOb Marksmen I was in Kor Vella. Well I was a Rifleman 1,1,1,1 but I thought it sucked and wanted something else. He he yeah I thought Commando was better then Rifleman. This was during the Imperial Crackdown Patch with STs in the City (Good Ol'Days). Back then enough 8K HAM Stormies could kill you. Yea that's right Stormtroopers could kill people back then. Anyways.

I saw a Master Commando. He had his Composite Armor on, then not so universal, and was fighting a mass of Stormtroopers and the like. I watched in awe as he took on what I thought impossible with his PFT. He ran around firing his Flamethrower Specials hiding behing a Building now and then pulling an ST or two and killing them. Eventually he had to retreat but seeing him take on some 15 STs and not going down like a fly and actually killing several, amazed me.

I wanted to be just like that except the Imperial Version. I loved Grenades the cool little explosions. So I became a Master Commando. Eventually I did over a year ago. I had so much fun even though we were not so great. I could with Buffs and Stuff take on a group of Rebel NPCs. I actually just had fun running faction missions. But with no armor, no buffs, no nothing. Man was it fun to sneak up behind some Rebel Trooper and go Woosh! And BAM they were dead in one hit. Sometimes I could back stab or "Back Flame" every NPC without ever being noticed. That was fun. I was happy. Ya I got "owned" by most Rifleman in PvP but meh.

Then the CU was coming. I though wow no more indestructabel SBDs heck I might be able to solo one! Commando will be just as good as everybody else in it's on special way. Right? Wrong.

Commando is worse then before. On my own I have no use for my Flamethrower and rarely is it beneficial in group activities. In PvE everything just decides to kill me. I don't even bother using the PFT on Base raids were the NPCs outnumber us. Why cause after the KD they all get up and shoot me. In PvP Enemies are never that close to root or KD in mass, never unless they are dumb. And uh only 25M Range ain't helpful.

Where is the heavy hitter Commando? The tough dude with big powerful Rocket Launcher that'll send an Enemy flying through the air? I could one hit kill things with the RL Pre-CU and yes despite it's non cost effectiveness I had fun. Cause I still had a use for it. I actually used an RL as I soloed a whole base with no buffs and no armor..

I don't even use an RL now. It sits in a Container because it is a Pea Shooter.

Look the CU changed a lot and I can accept that. But there is nothing left of Commando. Just some weapons that remind me of what I use to be. And a lot of them are more lame looking, the way they fire, the way they look...

Let's face it. The Devs see us as Greifers and Exploiters, mainly because of Grenades I imagine and DoT stacking. They don't like us and they don't respect. No matter how formal or nice you come off they will not see you being any better. They don't even listen to Nick who is always formal and nice in his stuff. They don't care. They aren't afraid cause we won't quit Commando, we won't protest, and we really don't make them big money. We must convince them otherwise. We must stop their arrogance. If you can have fin great. But some of us have loss the fun we had due to bugs and SOE in general and we want it back.


So come on do it! Ban me! Ban me now! Come on, do it! Ban me!

The HoC chat is on for tonight I think, the primary talking point is the new expansion but the secondary is about upcoming and future bug fixes/patches/etc. It might help if y'all bombard the Devs with commando-related questions...we might get something.

Basically Mustard, Mustben, Mustjedi, whatever is a high end planet.

So yea anyone can go there. But basically you have to be a Jedi to the quests, or have Jedi help you.

Wait 'm not buying the expansion cause it's just a lame rip off of Episode III. And it's just another small world. Pfft who cares. I want Star Wars Worlds that I know are in-habitated or important in our timeframe. Wait we don't follow a Time or anything. We just put in anything Star Wars and then actually have the nerve to say that Jedi and Stormtroopers walking down the street in Theed is Star Wars. Huzzah!

I swear LA and SOE are dumb. They only see the appeal being important. Doesn't matter if it's crap just as long as it is cool and people will buy it. Oh wait they might be right. But it's pretty apparent now that getting us to buy buy buy because it has something to do with Episode III has already been done. I mean they already made an Expansion for Episode III. They need another one? You can tell their desperate and LA thinks ya lets release everything at once and tie it in all together. That'll work.

Not this time. Battlefront you see was a good game. This Expansions has been purely for marketing purposes. They didn't add this Exapsion because they thought it would fit in, or add some exciting element to SWG. Nope they just want people to buy it. Don't think people are gonna buy SWG. First $15 is quite a bit for any Online game, if they dropped it down to $5 I would shut up. Cause honestly the way the Devs work they only deserve $5.

So many stupid people.

I love the Jedi. Too many people are playing the game just to be a Jedi. How sad to fall into the SOE and LA trap. I wish everyone who bought this game would try to respect the Star Wars Universe, and not all become Jedi thus spending more months feeding SOE and LA for really nothing at all.

Yes, when you think about it, the game is not much to pay for. Allmost every player start and work on a good temp, then they all grind, grind, grind to become a Jedi. And that they keep doing that over and over again. There is nothing more in this game. If you stay at some other profession its also mission after mission and nothing more. And yes you can do quests, but most dont give anything usefull or they are bugged (like many things are in this game). There is not much PvP battles, the server can't stand it and crash or people get too much lag and go LD. We don't have any end game. No CL 80 special weapons or armor to fight for. No bosses to keep guilds together. Now we all do Bols or Piket hunts. Isn't that kind of sad SOE? Only one profession that 95% of the players do or wanna play? That only one planet is used by 80% of all players on the server? That there are only two missions people do, Bols or Pikets? Maybe it's time to take youreyes offJedis and then start taking a look on the game. I'm not going to buy the expansion. But I bet you placed something inside it so we all need it anyway. One or two things then the rest is just crap, like the wierd Wookie planet. So wierd, don't understand that planet.

Well it's worse. Trust me Pre-CU Commando was pretty sweet.

Well compared to now. See Pre-CU I was only limited by how good or tactical I was. Now it seems like Commando is actually holding me back, also CLs.

My ultimate goal in this game is to solo an SBD as a Commando. I'm very close as I can take on Consider Reds. However taking on a Elite CL 85 is gonna require much work. It is possible I think. However I have to be on the Corvette and that place is great for calling every NPC from kingdom come to ya.

This is just my sad rant thread.

Also I don't play that often. Usually every other weekend. I'm not playing every day. I'm am an extreme casual player. So ya I basically play 2 weekends a month sometimes 3.

I'm still CL 72. So maybe I shouldn't talk so much. Working on BH Invest. 4 and I must say it's very slow as you only get 500 BH XP a kill, and each Bounty takes ya like half an hour. And I need 18,000 XP. To me that is a lot. And I refuse to Respec or anything so ya.

Hmm I wonder if I should try running into some Rebel Forward Outposts slicing the BH Terminal for the 1K. Hmm...

Why must Mandolorian Armor be so hard to obtain. Actually better yet why do I see hundreds of Jedi and no one in Mandolorian Armor. I'm sorry but it just ticks me off that Mandolorian Armor should be kept rare while Jedi are not.

Just because jedi are not rare, doesnt mean you should make Mandalorian Armor common. Jedi should be rare, yes. But so should be Mandalorian armor. Boba Fett killed Jodo Kast for wearing the armor without earning it. Getting the armor is hard. I am proud to say that the system of getting Mandalorian armor is the only truly accurate thing to SW, in SWG.

I don't think they care or give a damn about a Balance. As long as Jedi is good and powerful that's all they care about. See nobody else really needs to work or be any good. Just so long as you can become a Jedi. Then everyone will be independent.

The movies show off jedi. Jedi = money. Mandalorians: people watch the movie, you mention a mandalorian, they are like "what the heck is that". But that is good. I do not want Mandalorians running all over the place. it is a thing only for those who are truly dedicated to it.

We cannot let this happen. And we cannot stand for this type of BS anymore. We have to do something. If you guys are gonna say we'll there's nothing we can do but wait and pray they'll fix us. Then I'll just have to leave Commando. I'm not gonna keep a broke profession that limits my gameplay. Yea the Weapons are cool sort of, but they don't do shat.

There's more to being a Commando then the weapons. There is a spirit. A real commando would find it hard to even comprehend the idea of quitting it. I only once ever thought about quitting, and it was for 2 seconds. Right after I said it I said "No, this is what I love to do, even if I cant do it accurately.". Heck, Starnick as been a Commando since beta I think he said. Thats a long time. yet he is still a commando, he has a commando spirit. I would re-elect him as the correspondant any time.

We want working weapons. And we all want a real profession.

We have to do something. I'm gonna kick and scream til I get what I want cause sadly that's what works. Sadly...

It wont help. Unless Commando suddenly attracts large amounts of players, it wont be fixed anytime soon.

Well I have not posted in here in months, but you to everyday for about 2 years. I was always telling everyone to wait, its gonna happen, commando is gonna get fixed, we are going to be awesome, etc.

Not true. It is borked, always has been, always will be. Most expansions, content, etc is geared toward Jedi, and will continue to be so.

I've been playing this game since day one (well two more precisely), and now I am going to sell EVERYTHING I have in game, and either cancel the account and check it out in 5-6 months and reactivate, or never come back. I'm not complaining, just staing the fact. This game will NEVER be what I wanted it to be. And quite simply it is not fun. Therefore, no sense in paying and "playing" it anymore.
