Does it count as shortening it if you have to spell the acronym *and* what it means? Thats making it longer cause you gotta type out two instead of just one.

The Few. The Proud. The Trolleone.

Drakenya - Master Smuggler / Elder Assassin / S. A. Ace Pilot
Raken - Commando / Elder Rifleman, Carbineer
Drak' - Bounty Hunter

I think that someone may be curious as to my concern about abbreviations and acronyms. If you're not,.... oh wellI don't care.

The product that I am a Technical Support Analyst (level 2 now, ooohhhh) for has a subcomponent that allows people who type the same phrase over and over again replace that phrase, paragraph, 3 page document (you name it, it does it all) with an acronym that can be as short as three letters.

Think about this the next time you go to the doctor. Your entire work up could be a macro'd acronym sitting on a transcriptionists PC in Bareback Nebraska. If a doctor says the same thing soooo many times that people are tired of typing it, then it might be time to get a second opinion.

All righty! A post thats not whining about Last Ditch!

But at any rate, I'm trying to figure out what kind of slices to get for my Laser Rifle.

Right now, its SAC is 82, so dont need to worry about that, 2.73 speed, 1004 max damage. And I was wondering, is it possible to get that rifle up to the damage cap (1184). I'm kind of confused about the new slicing, and have gone through the FAQs at the top, but didnt quite answer my question. Is it possible to get multiple damage slices? Like 5%, 10%? (Or whatever the 2 highest slices were for damage)? And if I cant hit the damage cap, then what does the max damage need to be to GET it to the damage cap? Thanks in advance for reading this post

Im not in game right now so i cant run the numbers atm, but i dont think you can hit the damage cap, with a damageslice, I persenoly would go for sped. I had 2 identical Renagades sliced one for damage and one for speed and can do considerably more damage with the speed sliced one. although i am still trying to figure out some of the new system so i may just be stupid right now

but I'm kidn of confused on the new slicing system, I've been told I can get multiple slices on a weapon.

So can you get multiple slices of the same stat? Such as a 4%, and 8% damage increase?

Or can you get multiple slices of DIFFERENT types? Critical + Speed + Damage?

The way i understand this(please correct me if im wrong) is there are 3 types of slice a s you already know, damage, speed, and critical hit. there are different levels of slice for each.

each induvidual slice gives a % of customization. If you slice all 3 levels of damage, you can't go any further for damage, but if the item is not to 100% customization, you can slice one of the other stats untill it reaches 100% after that, it is as sliced as it is going to get.

This sound right to everyone?

Yes to be exact. If you get a tier 3 damage silce (which requires a simple toolkit and fine crafted) will give the weapon an 8% increase in damage (the %'s don't, it's whatever is the highest so tier 1 adds 2%, tier 2 adds 2% more, tier 3 adds 4% more). The customization on the weapon will be 60% which means you have 40% more to work with which I think will get you a tier 1 speed and tier 1 critcacl (requiring another simple toolkit).

ok, i got a pistol that has 922 damage, so i do a damage slice for 2 percent, then the damage increases to 935. I dont have any simpletool kit and i buy one, i then slice it 4 percent damage but it still says 935 damage, but the weopom says 4 percent sliced and its customization is now forty.

Is this normal?
