Bounty Hunter Archive

I would love a sticky that collects the hard work of these budding writers in one place, basically for my own convenience. It sounds selfish but I’m sure that I’m not alone in the fact that we all love a great story.

This sticky would just be stories of our Jedi kills. Just a condensed list of short stories by the players, for the players. I’ve always said “ Give respect where it is due” and so the author or writer would get mentioned at the end.

Below are some short accounts of Bounty Hunters and their most prized marks : The Jedi

So heres a recent Jedi hunt story:

The other night I track my mark to the SquillCaves on Tat. Upon entering the cave, I change my prof tag from MBH to novice Pistoleer and target my mark to see where he is. I check his HAM bars and see that he is over 3000 an health and action and 2400 on Mind. Great, he's not alone either, someone else is with him. I had tef on both the Jedi and his grouped friend which hinted to me that the friend probably buffed him, ie just a doctor. Knowing I probably had a nil chance with such a high buff I decide to wait his buffs out. Of ctouse, given that the cave was empty besides us, I couldn't just stand there because I'd like way to suspicious. The fact that I have BHA as my guild tag doesn't help either. So..I play the role of the noob.

I run near them. "Hey guys, you're killing all the xp here. lol"

I get the standard reply from the Jedi and his bud, "Yeah, we pwn these squills" and other bravdo comments.

So I run back to the cave entrance and just kill the occasional squill that spawns. With the Jedi targeted I could see when his hams were getting low while he was fighting the squills. Hoping to get the jump on him I run towards them again, again to throw off suspicion I say more noobish things like, "Mind I stay near you guys, this cave is a bit dangerous for me solo". They fall for the bait, and ignore me as they continue to slaughter the squills.

About 30 minutes, I see the Jedi's mind buff to run down. The Jedi and his friend proceed to leave the cave. Making sure I don't lose them I run to the entrance of the cave. I find the Jedi and his bud having small talk with a doc who just arrived at the mouth of the cave. I start to prepare myself for the battle. Here is where the spatial log gets really funny cuz it logs their small talk with the info about what power ups I was doing. I take out my power 39 MSE droid and run my bomb macro...

Boom! Half the Jedi's action is gone.

Then in the spatial screen I see the Jedi's friend say:

FU#&!

followed by,

RUN!

I run out with my Geo spamming eyeshot and incap the Jedi in 5 secs, I don't even think he knew what hit him. I ~1 to db. Then, the Jedi's friend who had been shooting gets taking down in another 5 secs, ~1 for the db.

I proceed to get tells from the Jedi's friend, yelling at me, and demanding to know what guild I am in. I toy with him, never telling him, and then proceed to put him on my ignore list and let him know that.

So in this case my patience paid off. It was real fun to fool these guys into thinking I was not a BH and just a noob loking for xp. I especially loved their reaction following the initial bomb droid explostion =).

Really made the 80% of the time when I track a Jedi to his house seem insignificant.

Ok, i got this mission for a jedi. Happens to be xping in the geo caves. So i fly out there (i work alone) , and i'm working my way in when i notice the Jedi running out. So i just turn and hit burst run because he's flying out, i catch up to him outside and LLC him to the ground. Suppose his buff had run out, i wasnt sure.

Next thing i know 2 more jedi pick up on my TEF and start attacking me. So i geo them both to death. Meanwhile a Combat Medic friend hits me with a Health Disease, so i geo him to the ground. I death blow all 3 jedi and the CM. I like to roleplay with my Master Bounty Hunter.

So i head back . Next thing i know i'm getting Tells saying i'm a coward, "we were unbuffed ! blah blah blah" So i just try to roleplay a bit and say " i was payed to do a job and that job was done, those that get in my path shall face the same consequences " So the one guy keeps harrassing me, i ignore him, then he gets on his alt and starts sending me tells, i ignore that one, then the 2nd jedi starts sending me tells and cries " ok duel me now i'm buffed " blah blah blah.

I tell him " look , if your gonna be hunting at a high profile place like the geo cave and then let your buff run out thats your problem, not mine. I'm not gonna waste the 5km trip and then ask you to rebuff so we can fight, thats not roleplaying" i understand fair play and all but i didnt cheat or use and exploit, they were just not prepared. Well, if this is what its come to , i don't know what to do.

I killed one jedi just before these 3, he was out hunting and i caught him after he had fought a mob and was down to half health, i concentrated on that and took him down. Good guy, he said i got him at the right time and we wished each other well. I respect that. But these other guys, wow , what an embarrasement to the jedi profession. I just thought i'd share this unique story. Let me know what you think, was a coward for taking on 3 jedi? I didnt even take the time to see who was buffed and who wasnt, it was 4 vs 1.

Gungashyk (Master Bounty Hunter)

I went looking for any loud mouthed new Jedi in Mos Eisley... No dice. So I chose one randomly from the term.

After drawing his name I tracked him down. Wonder of wonders! He is in a locked house. Not much to do now eh? So I send him a tell and say, " Wanna come out an play?" I didn't truly expect an answer, so you can imagine my suprise when he stepped outside. Before I go any further I will state that I will not give this Jedi's name. The reason for this is because I believe he is actualy due some respect and I will extend that curtesy to him.

He came out in full comp with his master Fencer tag above his head and what looked to be a mean stun baton in hand. I'm a pistol packing BH. No melee for me (not that there is anything wrong with that). From the looks of his HAM bar he was fully buffed by doc and dancer with a couple shots of brandy.By now I notice that he has me on auto follow and a bit close for comfort.

So I say to him, "Aren't you a Jedi? Where are the robes and saber?" He did the mandatory "LOL". Then he gave me yet one more suprise. He said to stay where I was. He moved about 100 meters away and then switched to his robes and pulled out his saber!

"Let it begin", he said. Needless to say, torso shot is your friend. I took him down much faster than I thought. Actually by the way he was acting I thought it would have been me doing the cloning. Not once did he even attempt to run for his house. Later I found out that he doesn't have, nor entends to get Force Run.

He had the doc buffs and I fully expected to see a doc come rushing out of the house when his body hit the deck. To my suprise (yet again) he dissapeared.

I got my 15k (minus travel exp) and met my first honorable Jedi today. The thing that gets me is this guy knew he could have beaten me if he stayed in his comp and beat me over the head with his Akley Stick. Heck, he didn't even have to come out of his house! So if you're reading this, thank you. Thank you for letting me have a bit of fun at your expence. You've set an example that I truly hope the other Jedi will follow in the future (even if I don't win).

To those of you Jedi that stay locked in the closet, maybe you should get out a little more often eh?

I stood in front of the Theed starport listening to the endless banter of the merchant trying to peddle there wares to the arriving interstellar passengers. A doctor was giving a free clinic outside of the starport to would be adventures, and I want to make sure my health would not fail me during my jaunt on Yavin IV. As I waited my turn patiently, I notice something different out of the mind numbing merchant chatter. An incessant bragging and whining emerged from the crowd. I could hear a voice screaming and yelling at the others in the starport. As I peered among the crowd to see who was causing so much of a ruckus, I spotted the source, a Jedi. Slowly, it dawned on me I could do something about this!

The doctor finished my exam, and cleared me for travel. I hopped up to check the nearest terminal. Sure enough, this guy had pissed the right people off. I grabbed the mission and head to the cantina to call a couple of friends to help make things go…"smoothly". After getting confirmation of my friends help, I check back at the starport and noticed that my “target” the Jedi had departed. I knew what to do. I bought a ticket to Kaadara, as soon as I arrived I headed straight to the cantina to speak with an old drunk in the bar that on many occasions proved very helpful at acquiring bio signatures. He of course, came through. I quickly launched a droid. Surprisingly my target had only skipped town not the planet, this was too easy! The droid had spotted him in a small city near Keren. I quickly hopped on a shuttle, and told my friends to meet me at the medic supply store in the town, as I had been inspired by my visit with the doctor earlier and was disguised as a medic. Upon arrival, I noticed a group of combatants standing at the shuttleport. One foolishly with scatter pistol in hand. I knew, as well as my target, that they had come for him as well.

Quickly I dash to the waypoint, which was a private home, the droid had sent me and locked my target in., as my competition wait at the shuttleport. As I arrived the Jedi stepped from his house, I was a millisecond from drawing my carbine when I notice the guy was an Imperial agent! “Damn!” I thought to myself. This was out of my hands the Emperor was not kind to those that interfere with his agents. Out of luck, I made my way back to the shuttleport, called my friends and told them that the hunt was off. As I closed in on the shuttleport, I could here blaster fire, that of a Geonosian stun blaster. I knew then that the Jedi had foolishly left his home and run straight to the arms of the other bounty hunter. I watch as the Bounty Hunter and his Teras Kasi skilled friend rendered the Jedi lifeless.

Bounties are legal in the Empire so there wasn’t anything that I could do to help the Imperial agent, so I shook my head at the other bounty hunter and prepared to board the shuttle back to Theed, when an Imperial doctor came to the aid of the fallen Jedi. Neither I, nor the other bounty hunter interfered with the resuscitation attempts. In fact, I even hoped the doctor would bring life back to the fallen man. I was not disappointed as he succeeded. Then, much to my surprise the stupid Jedi started talking trash! He would not shut up about my fellow bounty hunters mother, how bad our kind stunk, and some words were used that should not be used in a formal report. As, the shuttle arrived I noticed that he had banned me! Me! I had spared this low-life only to be repaid me with this! This was more than I could take. As he kept his stead stream of verbal abuse flowing at us, I snapped, and pulled out my carbine. He did his best to block the hail of fire but in seconds, he lay once again on his back. Silence! It sure sounded beautiful.

The moment was broken by the crackle of the Doctors voice. It was as if the spirit of this trash talking Jedi had moved in death to possess this poor doctors soul. As the verbal abuse once again mounted against me, I knew what had to be done. I took aim and fired. The poor doctor dropped fast. I had knocked him unconscious hoping the trash talking Jedi spirit would leave him. As I rode off on my bike, it seemed to have worked because the doctor was back to normal. It wasn’t exactly what I had set out to do, in fact; nothing had gone right. It’s too bad. I guess next time Ill just take the trip to Yavin IV!

Craxus Blade Imperial Bounty Hunter. Vorean Blade Master Teras Kasi / Master Fencer

I took out my first jedi yesterday outside of the geo cave on Yavin.

I am currently BH 3444 with some Creature handler mixed in.

I tracked my mark to the cave and was able to get a fix on him with /target. I could see within a few minutes that he was taking some damage...all of a sudden his buffs started to disappear as well I can see that he is running to leave the cave because he is getting closer. At the time I noticed two other jedi a couple of doctors and at least 8 other players outside of the cave. The Jedi I was after had a group of about 7 with one of the other jedi included.

Here is the beautiful thing..I am sitting there behind a big rock with my pet out and ready to attack. The Jedi runs out and litereally stands right next to me. He immediately starts to heal, so I attack....First try to hit him with confution shot but of course he blocks all of my attempts. I switch over to LLC and start hitting him with LLC Single 2. Meanwhile my razor cat is keeping him pretty busy. All of a sudden all hell breaks loose. The other Jedi from his group just hit me with a saber throw, but not for very much damage. I had eaten some canape and synthsteak so I was stnading up to them pretty well. After about 90 seconds it was all over. My Mark hit the groud and I DB him. Took a biltle bit of luck and a little bit of good timing, but man was it great!!

I kept fighting the rest of his crew and the other jedi for a little while longer. Eventually I got a quick ride back to the star port .

Of course i started getting tells from his group and him telling me what a dirtbag I am for killing a rebel jedi....apparently he had never been killed before (/does the first to kill jedi dance). I had planned on being very courteous and respectful to the jedi, but he just would not let it go...man was he pissed.....so i told him to stop beeing such apanzy and he had better keep looking over his shoulder , because sinceit was so easy to kill him , I would come back for seconds soon.

By the way this was my second attempt to kill a jedi. First time ended badly, but I'll take a 50% average.

I preapred by eating some canape and synthsteak as well has filling up on brandy. The jedi's mind pool is what put him down, he was able to keep healing his health and action, but only for so long...

I learned some lessons from this as well. I was really surprised at how quickly the rest of the group joined the fight against me. I think it is because I used a supression fire attack to try and get the jedi down. I won't do that again....Also, I should have been ready to eat more synthsteak when what I had was used up, it could have cost me dearly.

this might be long, but its worth it.

last nite, a mbh friend and I were chasing jedi around and teamed up for our last mission before goin to bed. We grabbed mission onthe same jediin kadarra and launched droids, jumped shuttle to theed. Landed in theed and got trackin info that jedi was on naboo.....and waypoint pops up about 300m. Usually this means that your tracking a jedi thats prolly overt and grouped with other jedi and bodygaurds. So we head down towards the cantina towards waypoint. We see jedi inside ID tent with about 10 buddies hangin around outside. Our mark is 4/4/4/4 jedi gaurdian and hes grouped with another guardian and plus 2 other non-titled jedi. Ok this is where it gets good. We sorta mingle thru their group knowing that we can't take these guys on.....would be suicide, but we hang around and just see whats goin on. The jedi mark starts gettin antsy knowing we got his bounty, but as a typical guardian, hes being all cocky and showing off to his groupies and starts taunting us.

By now we have put our MBH tags on and have geos in hand, knowing full well we would die the instant we attacked. The mark started taunting more and dueling his jedi friends trying to bait us to attack. After about 15min of this i sorta move across from them while my buddy stands next to the mark. The dueling goes on for about 10-15 minutes between the group, and finally our mark starts to forget about us......keep in mind we never attacked and we neverannounced we had his mark, we never said nothing. Then the mark starts dueling a TKM/Pikeman and gets incapped by the dueller........

My buddy was like, "should i DB him?" and i was like "hell ya".......ROFL.....the jedi was laying there for like 15 sec incapped and then all of sudden u see him get db'd and my buddy sorta just walks away. The group was like all like "**edit**" and started yelling at the TKM/Pikeman for db the jedi in a duel. I could not stop laffing, we just got a completed mission on a 4/4/4/4 guardian who was grouped with 3 other jedi, doc, tkm, rifleman and few others. It was like the ultimate payback for them showing off their lightsabers for the last hour in theed!

First mission I took I tracked my mark to Tat, found them healing up in a cantina. I got my bomb droid out and in postition. I was just about to detonate when my computer locked up. Luckly they where still there when I finally got back in game (felt like hours lol). I started to get my droid in postion again when the Jedi got nervous and cleared out. I had been made. I droped the mission.

I grab next mission. I asked ainformant of mine if they new anything about the mark, turns out the had been spotted runing missionsfrom dath science outpost. Once i got there I sent out my seekers and placed a bomb droid at mission terms in hopes of ambushing him. My mark showed up and went right to the term, my blood was pumping! I hit my droid /det macro, but I didnt work! He flew off before I had a chance to take action. Turns out I named my droid differntly than what was in the macro. I change the name in the macro and awaited his return. About 5 mins later he comes back. I hit my macro and it still doesnt work. I attack anyway. The jedi comes after me and I run to my droid and detonate it through the radial in hopes he will follow. It does take a little dmg off of him but not enough.

At this point he runs, truthfully if he would have attacked me it prolly would have been over quickly but he ran. He must have only had burst run 1 because I was able to keep up. I keep eyeshot spaming, he kept on healing but I was slowly wearing him down. Luckly I was finally able to get a low blow to stick right before my burst run was about to run out. That was all she wrote from that point.

I death blow'd and returned to the outpost. Me and the Jedi chatted for a bit about the fight and how it went. He was cool about it and I promised not to take his mission again.

I had a blast, I think im hooked

So there I sat in the Mos Entha Cantina relaxing my mind after spending much of the day searching the sands of Tatooine for a Moisture Farmer who apparently needs some help with some type of rescue. It can't be said that I am not a humanitarian and will not help out the "little" guy if the price is right. Anyway, as luck would have it my swoop bike developed some difficulties that cut my search short. The runt of a Rodian at the garage seems to think that parts will not be available until tomorrow so a cool drink and the company of a few dancing girls seemed to be in order.

Mos Entha is not the same as I remember it. for the most part it is a ghost town, few people roam the streets save the those annoying jawa and the occasional bandit hiding in a back alley looking for an easy mark. The Cantina is just as empty, and with no dancers to keep me amused I start to long for the old days before the zoning laws were relaxed by the Imperials, and the days when a swoop or mount was not the norm. hunting marks back then was much more difficult but the personal reward seemed that much sweeter.

"Perhaps it is time to relive the old days" I thought to myself. Calling on my storage droid I put away my armor and my best guns, and pull out the old weathered guns from my youth - an old cdef carbine and a weathered low power scatter. Both had seen better days, but my skill today should more than make up for my reduced firepower.

I catch a late night shuttle to Mos Eisley and arrive just as day breaks. After making my way to the Bounty Hunter terminals tuck away out of prying eyes, I enter my passcode and start reviewing the missions available, one catches my eye. 22,943k being offered by Jabba the Hutt. It appears some poor smuggler made some unflattering comments about Jabba at a recent party, and Jabba was not amused. Jabba is always good for the bounty so I pick that up and head for the Cantina and one of my most trusted operatives in hopes he has information to Ayarm's where-abouts.

In the backroom of the Cantina I exchanged some credits for some useful information and bio-signature. Aftera quick stroll out of town and a call to my orbiting droid, I found myself waiting at the starport and the location of my quarry.

My receiver cracks and reacts as the location of my mark is download to me. He's on Dath. well I guess if I am going to go old school that is the place to do it. I buy a ticket to Corenet and grab some shuteye on the flight over. After a delay taking on cargo in some remote outpost, we endup arriving late, and I disembark to watch the shuttle to Dath leaving. Lucky for me there is another one in 10min, and I hurry to get a ticket.

By the time I get to the Science outpost on Dath it is late evening and I send out a tracking droid to get a fix on the current postion of my mark, since it has been good while since my original waypoint was sent to me. That one located my mark in the north eastern most part of the planet, and after some caluclations I realized that my quarry would probably head to the Trade outpost. So I wait for another shuttle and my droid. Just as the shuttle is arriving my droid reports back that he is indeed heading for the Trading Post. By the time I arrive there he is still 1600m from teh post, and I decide not to wait for him, but go out and find him.

I follow the river north east sticking to the bank. once outside of town, I gather some local flora and use it to mask my scent. The wildlife on Dath would not normally bother me, but without my armor or a swoop for a quick escape I take care to avoid what animal life I do find. I am 800m away when my droid loses contact and Isend out anotherwhile keeping on the same intercept course I had started.

The fog was think in this area and at night visability was not every good. as I walk I spy a lair in the disatance and a group of animals rooting around. they don't notice me and I chance a close walkby of them. As I pass my droid alerts me to fact that my mark is right beside me, and before I can react, blaster fire rips up the ground around me from a positon right behind the lair.

I dodge the shots and hurry to return fire with my carbine hoping to knock him down, but in my haste I hit the lair by mistake. At this point all heck breaks lose as the animals inhabiting that lair did not take kindly to my shooting at it. I switch target to the closest target and take it out, while my mark manages to hit me a few times causing me to lose significant health and stamina. I return fire on him and manage to make his stumble around dizzy, but unable to knock him down I switch to my scatter and hit him with a torso shot and bleeding shot.

Things are not looking good as 3 dog like creatures (wish I knew what they were) rip at my legs and blaster fire tears through my clothes. I decide that I need to back off and lose these animals or I will find myself cloning at an early age. With just enough stamina left, I burst into a full run down the river shore until I get out of blaster range and then I plunge into the river and head out into the water. My mark manages to get a couple more shots at me before he too is forced into the water to chase me. I swim downriver a ways and then pop out in a clearing away from any other signs of animal life. My mark who is still bleeding from an earlier shot continues to come for me, and with very little health left I decide that I am going to stand and fight anyway.

Showing amazing dexterity my mark managed to treadwater and shot at me, while I requip my carbine and fire a couple shoots that manage to knock him back into the water and dizzy him sufficently enough that he can not return fire. I pull out my scatter and begin to wear him down with a steady stream of fire. My stamina and health are drained at this point, and my mark manages to regain his senses and starts to return fire. Just as I am about to collapes from exhastion I manage to catch him with a solid shot leaving him dead in the water - so to speak.

I drop to the ground and regain my breath as I look around taking note of the wildlife around me. well that was too close for comfort. I can't believe after all missions I have run I could let a mark get the jump on me. I make my way back to the Trading Post, and as I wait for the shuttle, I realize that this was one of the most exciting mission I have had in a while, and I have got to do this again more often.

Well a few minutes ago I got my first jedi kill ever.

I'm BH 3/4/4/4
Master Rifleman
1/0/0/0 medic


Tracked the jedi to the squill caves. Walked through the cave looking for him (fighting off annoying squills as I went) found him fighting a ton of em. I tried attacking while he was fighting... not much success block, block, block, block, block, block, block, hit, block, block, block, block, block, block, block, block, block, hit, block, block, block, block... etc. but he didn't seem to notice right away I was attacking because of all the squills.. or he didn't act cause the squills woulda maimed him, dunno.

I retreated a little deeper into the cave trying to lay low and figure out what I should do. Got invited to a group of ppl leveling their professions, thought why not, and joined. Helped them maim stuff for about 15 - 20 mins I'd guess. Kept doing /target jediname to check his HAM. Eventually I saw that he was incapped, and only 21m away so I burst ran to him. Before I could attack he stood back up and started trying to heal himself. I let loose with strafe2 and he went down. Snipershot. PWNED.

Gotta love getting hate tells about how cheap the kill was. GUESS WHAT JEDI?
