Thread: Where do I go from here?

Sorry if this has been posted already, but I went three pages deep into this forum and didn't see a similar topic. Anyway...

My old Scout Blaster (59-123 dmg, 2.2 spd, 1.6 spd with an u/g) died on me and I accidently destroyed it trying to repair it. Oh well. So I couldn't find an equivalent and bought a Power5 that is 34-102 dmg and 3.1 spd which is better. Why is it better? I have no idea, but the dewbacks and banthas con yellow instead of red now. I still can't kill them on my own without doing the ol' body shot, body shot, warning shot, repeat combo.

But that's not my question, although feel free to answer that one if you can. My real question is:

I'm a Pistol Specialist on Tatooine (Chilastra server) with 1250 health and 1k action. My intention is to go Master Weaponsmith for a while until I can make some sweet guns for myself and get the whole cashflow thing setup. In the meantime, I'm between broke and 10k creds at any given time. The best missions I can find (distance/difficulty/pay wise) are the 1k cred ones in Anchorhead that are to go after gorg lairs and tend to be between 150m & 350m away.

Well that's not so much a question as the setup. The real question is, is there anything better? I heard Lok is a hell of a planet and tried that, but I can't take any of the missions there and complete them, even the 2.5k ones. Is there someplace else I should go or is it this until I have a sweeter gun and better skills?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I've a question. When one has reached novice marksman and scout, what skills should I concentrate on to reach the BH profession?

You have to master them both. Then you need a lot of battle xp to go novice BH.

When your getting that last 40k combat dont use anything but carbines and pistols, youll be able to train pistol and carbine 1 when you get novice.

I've been playing for three weeks now, and I've had a blast with it so far. But I'm starting to wonder what I am doing. Sure, blasting things at random is fun for a while, but it is starting to lose its charm. I did a few missions for a guy in Bestine, and got a pretty nice painting and some fun from that. I heard about theme parks, but I found both Jabba's Palace and the Emperor's Retreat to be too difficult for me right now. I have 3 ranks in Rifle and Carbine, and 2 in Pistol and Support. I've also got a bunch of experience in Entertainer and Dancer, but those don't really do anything in battle.

So, what do I do from here? I don't have much money, and there is no way I can pay the 15-50k people are asking for buffs on my server. I just want to go out, have some fun, and feel like I am doing something more than grind. Are there a good set of missions I can do to get myself up to theme park levels? And where would I go about looking for other people to do things with? Most of the people I've run across in the bigger cities (Mos Eisley, Coronet, and Theed) seem to be too busy doing their own thing, and Bestine is a ghost town more often than not. Any help?

Go to Valcyn server. Send tells to lieka, lassiter, fenrir, scud, sioux, or airpikie, tell them audri sent ya. we'll help ya out get you some pretty decent weapons, watch your back ect. If you don't have medic, it helps a LOT, so does the terrain negotiation line in scout, so you can run real fast. If you are dead set on Bria, I suppose I could help you some, but not much. (I have a marlsman 4/4/4/4 scout 4/4/4/4 toon on there, but he's broke, and his armor is shot)

Thank you for the offer, but I would like to stay on Bria. I have a friend who I am supposed to be joining here, but he's trying to finish grinding his way to 50 in City of Heroes first. But he's a Dark Jedi on Bria, so I doubt I could talk him into leaving since it is my understanding that it takes a lot of work to become a Jedi.

Anyway, I'm mostly just looking for advice on things to do. Surely there is something in this game that can be done without 5 bajillion credit armor, buffs, and all that other stuff that I probably don't even know about.

unfortunately on some servers like Bria inflation got so bad that 5 billionkajillion won't buy you much. what kind of equipment do you have? That wold help me tell you what stuff is appropriet for your level.

I've got a laser carbine and laser rifle. And some sort of lame pistol. D18, I think. I have some sort of purple and white armor, I have no idea what type. I just remember that it has a really silly hat. I think that's all of the relevant gear I have, as my piles of clothing are probably not at all relevant to this conversation.

I actually went up to pistol 4 with a really well made D18

the laser rifle is good, try to find some speed powerups. the armor that is purple and white with really funky looking helmet is probably padded, if its well made, its an excelent armor, here is a wp for you, -1578 -1839. its on naboo its a pirates nest, with muon and some decent stims b's you should be ok in here. there are lots of magseal containers in here to, I found my first lightsaber crystal here. You are in a tough spot here though, not good, but at the point where you need a lots of xp to learn your new box. the peeps in here give decent xp, and drop credits to. (very important for newbs) themauler stronghold (poi) on naboo is also nice just be careful the harder ones might be a bit hard for ya. I hope this helps.

the hardest bit of the game is the start..... cos ur vunerable....sou just have to grind grind grind until u get master marksman..now this is where the fun kicks in cos u have lots of choices and the missions won't be so hard =D quenkers are boring = they must die!
