The problem is that you cant get your CL up with CH because it is not a combat prof. Its not a viable BH prof.

MBH/MCH really boils down to fun. You will have successes as a BH using your pets, but you will need to learn how to do it and be prepared to lose more than other BHs. As far as MCH goes, adding MBH to your MCH is a really good combo for fighting as a creature handler, when you think of MBH supporting your role as CH rather than CH supporting your role as BH.

I have a MCH/MCM/some pistols on another server and it is a lot of fun. I can solo most high end MOBs, not a lot but I am MCM, so unless I douse them with every tick I have I am only hitting small time damage with my pistol. I know if I had MBH or even a master ranged prof I would be doing loads more damage. You basically have to think of your pets as a DoT. The narglatch trio works well and will decimate a lower level or stupid jedi. I have seen it happen.

Not true. CH is counted as a combat profession. For example, master creature handler is CL54 just like any other master profession.

As to it's viability as a Jedi hunting template? It works fairly well for me. I'm a MBH, MCH with some pistoleer and medic (not much mind you since I have little skills points left). With three female narglatches out, I have pretty good DPS. If they go for my pets, it takes them a while to get them all and in the meantime, I'm absolutely pounding them. If they go for me, then my pets are doing a continual amount of damamge to them. My main problem is trying to get all my pets pulled out and ready to go and still get some element of suprise. 15 seconds per pet sucks especially when I throw a medical droid into the mix.

Now, granted this is probably not the most powerful template ever. I rarely can take MDEF/whatever full templates. But in general I do pretty well.

Well, I doubt many Jedi will expect the Master Creature Handler to attack them.

if you're seriously considering a master creature handler template i'd recommend mbh/mch/rifles 4400. cover, pull your pets out, send em in and conceal shot while they do damage. maybe a sniper shot here and there.

VS a Jedi? probably not a great Idea.. but for PvE it works great. My ALT has MBH +MCH and 0040 Medic. I use 3 Female Narglatches (7700ham level 22 high damage for their level) and they add about 300+dps to the fight.

Pets in PvP are generally not as useful due to the fact that the player can be killed to get the pets to stop working. If you could manage to stay out of range of the Jedi the Pets + your damage should be pretty good though.

I am a MBH and MCH , I am level 80 so it counts for your CL.

It can be a winning combiantion but you need to practice, practice, practice. I think the biggest thing the template has going for it is the element of surprise, dumping 3 creatures suddenly can throw a Jedi off guard if it is n ot expected. The expereinced jedi will beat you (but he will do the same even if you had a another template).

It works and it is fun to be a MCH it just takes dedication to combine it with MBH.

Im a master commando master CH and my CL is 80, whether or not people think CH is support or combat is irrelevant, it is adding CL :/. But yea, it really isn't a viable thing to add to CH, they don't even need to target your pets first, just walk on over to you since they do such little damage....
