Since my first kill last night, I have had my butt handed to me once and ran on 2 other occasions hunting NPC marks. These were level 81 silver elite NPCs. I am using Katarn armor and eating/drinking Boffa treats and Ruby Bliel. I'm using a Heavy Lightning Rifle or an Assault Bowcaster. Not sure what I'm doing wrong or why it changed from last night. Any ideas?

This is as it should be, the elites and bosses i mean, boba fett wouldn't take the joe blow bounty unless there was fat cash in it. that is coming from a pure star wars fanboy view i guess. i noticed when i switched from a really good set of armor to a less uber set i am having to work alot harder and take a long trime. sometimes though im getting marks that only hit me for 1 damage the whole fight, pretty easy. anyways my 2 cents

I don't know. It just seems like that no matter what I do I can't take them down. Had my last one down 1/2 way, but being on dial-up and teh problems it can cause sometimes hit me in the middle of teh fight. I probably would have lost anyway because my mind was gone, but I at least had it down 1/2 way. Can you eat something for Health regen and mind regen?

I've gotten basic NPCs, but they're even more rare than the Gold marks. As far as armor/template goes (MBH/Carbs CM 4/0/0/0), i'm wearing Marauder and using a Mark III PSG, firing a speed sliced proton carb (having my elite made as i type this). I have no problem taking down gold marks. It's nice too, because they always drop at least 3 pieces of loot for me.

I'm 1/3 through invest 4, level 79 and i took out a level 82 gold tonight...here's some hints:
BE Healing Efficiency form fitting undershirt and bandolier (to compliment 0020 medic)
110 healing droid (works when it's incapped as long as youre within 20m of it.)
PSG (which I consider vital)
Good condition energy resist armor.
Even though I have 1200 stim-D's and crates of ruby, all I needed was a few bacta shots, cause the BE shirt and droid got me to 1200 heals...I didnt use one stim. (just a blob candy)
Hope this helps...

I find that having healing is the only thing that keeps me alive. Am MBH MC CM 4000 and have only pulled silver and gold marks (CL 80 to 82, 17500 health to 22000 health). The silvers actually go down fairly quickly, but the 82's take a few minutes and have me healing fairly often. I actually prefer these fights, as they make it seem like you've been given a task worthy of an MBH. Oh, PUPs are also your friend. I'm using a proton carb with a damage/speed pup, and mediocre composite armor.

Well I can say is get some better kinetic armor (around 7k), a PSG with around 2k on energy. Now since they are elites, dont go walking in if you're cl 71 and expect to win, even a cl 78 would have trouble. Also since this was a change from just last night, check the condition on your armor, im guessing 1 or more pieces are at 0, specifically head/chest/legs.

Armor was the first thing I checked and none of it's anywhere near zero or losing effectiveness. Also I am actually cl 80, but I am a MCH and that takes away from it I guess. My pets don't seem to do enough damage overall and for that I blame the recent pet changes. They need to be grinded up to gain specials that make them better in combat. Problem is that it takes many millions of xp I have heard in order to do that. I am still learning about MCH again like I wasn't a MCH before the CU.
I realize that I must ask what seem dumb questions of you all, but just coming back to the game last Friday and being gone since just before the CU hit, I am behind on the ins and outs of the game a bit and have to learn most of it over again. That being said... can you get armor for a Wookiee that has decent stats like 7k kinetic?

Mind Regen: Spiced Tea for medical types, Caf for non-medics (because of the health bonus)
Health Regen: Bofa Trat
Action Regen: Blob Candy
Spice: Booster Blue for medical types, Neutron Pixie for the rest.
You should also have mitigation foods on hand (I prefer synthsteak, the less damage I take the quicker I can finish off my mark), ranged defense buffs (Thundercloud) and you might want something to improve your accuracy (crispic or deuterium-pyro).

I would change up Bofa Treats for Kanali Wafers. They last a long time and have a low fill rate and have Health regen and + to Health itself, etc.
