Thread: The benefits of a DE healing droid???

My 110 med droid increases my self heals by 50%. That is darn significant.

I'd say use an MSE model, they're small, easy to overlook, and difficult to target.

You can have your DE make you one with 110 medical, Combat Modules, and auto-repair so it can take care of itself for a short while.

Having the extra heal is nice, but people take for granted the damage droids do. Against a MD, my droid hits for about 40-60 damage per second. It's actually pretty accurate so in ten seconds your droid probably does about 200-400 damage. Your fire/poison activates every ten seconds at around 220-300 damage. Therefore, having a droid out is pretty much a third useful DoT. Against Jedi's who have no defense? 100-130 damage per second. It can make marks very easy.

I would suggest at least one probe droid. For one, they float, so those jedi's that hide in the middle of lakes cannot escape you. And for another, they are less likely to be targeted. R3's and MSE droids will get killed 80% of the time, due to the fact the Jedi will think it's a Bomb Droid. But then again R3's do kinetic damage, so it depends on the situation.

Another tip: Dont waste your heals on the droid. Buy some repair kits and learn to set up a macro. A macro to repair the droid and retarget on the Jedi immediately can be gold and really frustrate your mark. I had one Jedi spend 3/4 of the fight concentrated purely on my droid.

I've been a MBH since before the CU, and I've never thought of it his since the CU. However, I've seen some comments about it.

Is it really worth getting a healing droid when fighting jedi? I would think that a Jedi would knock it out in 1-2 hits......are they easy to hide??

Thanks for the tips.

Most people wont attack them, because they don't think about it. If they do it's usually an AoE attack so if you stand near an available spawn

You can also heal your droid.

Plus, if they try to attack it themselves, it distracts them off you.

Better off bringing along a faction pet and a ranged combat droid, have them follow your friend but shoot your mark. If your friend stays out of the jedi's range (easy because the jedi can't root/snare them) then your pets can attack your mark without gettign hurt.

Yes.

I have a probot that has a 110 med module, self healing, and of course a weapon to deal out that damage. It's not much, but as indicated above, it adds up.

The MSE droid I'd consider as a medical only for situations where being a very small target that can go almost unnoticed is a good thing.

the droids still work while they're corpses, so you don't need auto-repair

I just recently started using droids for pvp and pve marks. highly recommended !

You can have combos made. find a DE and have him make you a combat, med and self healing probot. Make sure you group with him to raise his level. I fought a player jedi the other night, altho he killed the droid, surprisingly they don't go down as easy as one may assume., at the very least it was making him use his action for specials.

How do you group with your droid?
