Well I did my first sucessful jedi mission last night, problem (?) was my mark was AFK.

I hadobserved several jedi before and they were always grouped. So I brought along my good TKM friend.

I had been tracking my mark for about 30-40mins and found her outside a building surrounded by a few people.

By this time I was extremely excited so I jumped off my bike did a run around and started attacking the jedi.

I did notice one of the people standingbesideher was healing her when I was attacking, but I was not paying attention to chat log.

After I DB the jedi, her friend tells me that she was AFK and a dark jedi in the making.

Then the guilt set in, I had completed my first mission but my mark was AFK...thus no struggle.

There was no AFK tag above her head and wasen't paying attention to what the people around her were saying, I assumed that was her group.

Should I feel bad for killing an AFK jedi?

Her friends thought my TKM friend was the BH and gave him A LOT of grief. Challeging him and calling him lewd names. Poor guy..

Do jedi normally stand out in the open AFK unbuffed and not in armour?

their fault not yours...its like an overt reb going afk and whining you killed em while they were gone...not your problem.

If it were me and her friends started mouthing off to me I'd feelmore thanproud that I took out their friend. A jedi going afk out in the open just isn't smart, especially without throwing up the afk tag. Even with I still think it'd be fair game unless they were in a med center or cantina/theater of course. But more so asa Jedi who is not and never will be a dark jedi I don't think you should feel fuilty at all... and whats more I salute you for taking her out >=P

There's a perfect quote for this situation from the movie "The Unforgiven".

Li'l Bill : You just shot an unarmed man!

Bill Muney : Well, he shoulda armed himself.

Hello all,

I am in a bit of a dilema here. For the most part I consider myself an honest person. I've got several toons on my server and one of those is a merchant. Another is a Smuggler. One of the vendors I manage is a Smuggler supply vendor. Normally I sell Muon, Pixie Dust, Etc. Today I logged on and found that someone had offered a pile of goodies at 100 cr. each. This includes Reactive Micro Plating, Manadalorian Intraframes, Delicate Trigger Assemblies and Illegal Core Boosters. I purchased all they offered and sent a tell thanking them. The person that offered said they didn't know what to do with the stuff and agreed to offer all they got to me for 100 cr. each. Should I tell them it is worth much more or just continue buying and give them a "gift". You guys help me decide as my conscience can't take it.........

Don't feel guilty. Ive taken to asking for these from Bounty Hunters as the come to the BH terminals. More often than not, they just give them to me. Sometimes they ask if I can I can do a full slice on their weapon. These things have become common drops for bounty hunter missions.

Im sorry but as a smuggler "guilty" isnt in my vocabulary. He offered, you bought. If I have items that I dont know the value of I RESEARCH. Ask friends, ask enemies, ask anybody. Its not that hard to find the general value of an item within 30 minutes. I would have worked up a contract with him for some free spicing and slicing in return for helping him clean up those inventory spaces.

Random Scum: Ahh Han Solo, can you help me?

Han Solo: What do you want?

Random Scum: I have these parts taking up space in my backpack, will you take them for 100 credits a piece?

Han Solo: No, Im sorry but I will have to pay you fair market value on those, even though they are rare and I need them. How does 10k each sound?

10k is no where near fair market value it is still way under value on my server.

try again.

I agree if he is very eager to sell them even if he knows he can get more then go ahead n buy em n dont feel guilty. but I would atleast tell him to investigate the sell price of the items.

When the total experience thingy first came out I encountered a random noob character on Yavin who had his BARC speeder out. I wanted it. The deal ended up being 750K plus my swoop for his BARC. He was thrilled because the 750K would go a long way toward his ship parts, and he still had a decently fast vehicle.

We all know BARCs, at least at that time, were going for 3mil or more. I felt SO GUILTY that I told him and offered to undo the trade, taking back my swoop and him paying me back only 500K instead of the full 750K. He refused, saying that a deal was a deal and he still felt he came out on top. He thanked me for my honesty and moved on.

Moral of the story. You'll feel like crap for cheating someone, even in a video game, but talking through the situation often leads to good things.

Remember to truly judge a mans character, do not test him with adversity, for any man can handle adversity. Test him with power.

I recommend turning it into something good. Make sure that the man always has his gear sliced by you for free. Hell if he dumps a boatload of gear on you buy him a nice gun or suit of armor and slice it up. Overall its cost would be a fraction of the profit you made, and you can barter with him with a clear conscience. Whatever you do, do it soon, grievances, both real and imagined, grow larger with time.
