Was chasing a Jedi around and we got mixed up in a rancor infested area. I incapped him and was promptly killed by the rancors, and then he was also killed.

We both laughed about it in tells.

My first Jedi mission...about a week ago now, I hit him with underhand shot, knocked him down, then just stared at my all my icons.

I totally blanked out on what did what. I died in 1.5 min.

Oh well, it was still fun though.

I was changing around my template and had novice smuggler/MBH/4040 CM (I think--it's the healing line and debuff line of CM) and had this great idea to try a combo of underhand shot/concussion shot to apply debuffs since the debuffs don't break root, then I was going to run back as far as I could and not only hit my mark with advanced critical, but a bomb droid as well.

That was the theory. I decided to try it on an NPC mark who happened to be on Lok. It worked like this: call bomb droid, set bomb droid to chase my bounty, underhand shot, concussion shot, debuffs applied successfully, run back to 45 m or so, start the droid detonation macro, 3, 2, 1, advanced critical shot, explosion, draw aggro on three fairly high-level Nym's elite pirates, run away really fast, hit concussion shot rooting all the pirates, breathe a sigh of relief, get ready to pop a stimpack, "You have been killed by a giant kimogila."

My first very first target was this Wookie Jedi in all red who soundly pounded me into hamburger, then he proceeded to kindly explain to be what specials would work best for taking out jedi, what weapon I should use and how I go about setting up an Alpha Strike...

I haven't hunted jedi yet, but the goofiest thing I've had happen was when hunting one of the double chevron boss marks. He killed me and after I cloned I got a Doc friend to come with me for round 2. I got there first and located the mark again. I targeted him again and noticed that he only had about 70% health and had some wounds. I was pretty excited about that, since he had regenerated health pretty fast the first time.

I called my combat droid and healed him up. When I targeted the boss again, he had 100% health and no wounds.

Now, I had been gone for over 10 minutes easy, and when I first saw him again he had not healed. But in the 30 seconds or so that I messed with my droid, he got all his health back and his wounds were healed.

So, if I ever get killed by a boss again, I am going to make sure not to target him again until I am actually ready to start combat...

I'd gone around 20 straight successful bounties, and was beginning to establish myself as a 'worthy' bounty hunter among some guilds containing Rebel Jedi. I take the highest value mark I can find on the terms, around 51,927cr or so. Locate the target, strap on my armour, get doc buffed and off I go to Dantooine..

..I release my seeker and find the target some 2000m away from the Mining Outpost. I scout round a bit and locate the specific target, a noted 'hard' Jedi from Chimaera. Now its important to clarify that I'm a little different to most other bounty hunters in that I approach all of my targets without my helmet equipped, and use the following macro with them targetted:

'%TT, you are my target - I will give you a short period to restock your food and prepare for the fight.. should you choose to run I will pursue you, however if you stand and fight I wish you good luck! /deepbow'

So I wait until the lair is finished, and then make my move - I zoom up on my BARC and dismount, and go to issue my macro. I lag. The server does nothing for around 25 seconds on my screen. I press random keys in an effort to get things moving again..

.. the game kicks in a short period later and updates the current situation. I have, apparently, issued my macro, then unequipped my entire armour, put on a pink warm hat (my warm hat is next to my 'armour equip/unequip macro on pane 5), and fired a single knockdown at my target. So my target has been knocked down by a near-naked pink hat-wearing bounty hunter who is now standing gormlessly looking at the Jedi. Needless to say that I lasted about 2 seconds before incap once the game caught up, and was deathblowed immediately after.

Apparently the whole group was so surprised at what happened that they had no idea what was going on - it was much to my embarrasment that the Jedi had to explain that I was a bounty hunter, and that it had all gone horribly wrong.

lol that's to funny Arrain!

I worked this one jedi down to about a 1/4 health, he ran and logged, I logged. I logged back in an hour or so later at the cantina in MO and he was standing right next to me. I was to impatient, went outside suited up he was on the porch, sent in my combat/110 healing droid. Got a few good hits in and then the lag started! Iran to bring the fight outside of the back gate. He followed ofcourse but my droid didn't! The lag plus the lack of quality heals sent me down pretty quick! Never attack at MO...

One day I got this mission on a jedi.. he ended up logging inside a Rebel base so I ended up going away and logging for the night. I woke up the next day.. completely forgot about the mission.. landed into Theed when I logged in. No armor.. no food.. no buffs.. nothing but some clothes.. and got argoed by a Rebel npc. I attacked the npc with an area attack... and just my luck.. my yesterday's mark was nearby. Died in two slices without even seeing him infront of about 50 people waiting at the starport. That was pretty bad

To help lighten the mood, I figure to start a thread on the worst, noobish, biggest, funniest mistakes made when hunting a NPC mark or Jedi.

One my funniest mistakes was when I was about to engage a Jedi in a herd of dewbacks I targeted the lair by mistake and opened fire...suffice to say the Jedi and friends had the last laugh...ha ha ha.

Kited myself into a group of kimos. This was after fighting the jedi for over thirty minutes. Was rather anti climatic.
