Thread: Can someone post their bomb droid macro?

I found some Mice Bomb Droids I want to use.

Sorry but I love the idea of blowing things up. I used the search feature but it came back with ntohing. Which can't be true because I've seen macros on this board for such a thing. That was awhile back so i am not going to scroll back page by page. If anyone has a working one please post it here. I would appreciate it.

I have a mark that is holed up in a cantina. I want to run in and send a mouse bomb after her.

Would this work?

/target (jediname);

/tellpet chase;

/pause 1;

/detonate;

I'd have to get the Jedi's name but that wouldn't be so bad. Just call up the droid and target it...not sure.

You have to have the droid targeted when you /det before it detonates.

I think there used to be a "How to hunt full template thread" that was sticky'ed. Which contained some useful macro's. It was removed though. I scanned breifly through the remaining thread, and couldnt find one for macros, so I'll post some for you.

This one is if you don't name your droids, or if you undeed them to detonate them.
Make sure you invite your Droid in your group(or add this before the first line /tellpet group; pause 5;).

/tellpet followtar;
/pause .3;
/ui action targetGroup00;
/pause .3;
/detonate;
/target
jedi

For easy targetting, I suggest making some alias. This one is my favorite, just type it into your spatial chat:

/alias aa /alias targetchange /target
aa and targetchange can be whatever you want to name it.

How it works is this. You type /aa jedi's name
it will change the rest of the string to that name. Say I'm hunting Jedi-bob, so now instead of editing all my macros for different jedi-names everytime, you can quickly type /aa jedi-bob to change the string. Enter this into exsisting macro's like so...

/tellpet followtar;
/pause .3;
/ui action targetGroup00;
/pause .3;
/detonate;
/targetchange;

I also have a macro I use for NPC targets. Since sometimes the seekers dont return correct information, you can have a macro auto-targeting while you're riding. A lot of time I've caught some NPC in the spaceport with this macro, while my seeker was telling me the target was 4000m out.

This one uses the above mentioned alias.

findtarget
/targetchange;
/pause .5;
/macro findtarget;

Hope some of that helps.

Found and old post, here is the copy and paste... enjoy

Bounty Hunter Zemon's tip of the day:

***For the solo hunter, who is going to group ONLY with his droid***

Set up two macros and assign them to the keyboard. You can remap the keyboard in the Ctr+O window. I use "Ctrl+Alt+f" for the FollowJedi macro and "Ctrl+Alt+D" for the DroidDet macro.

Macro: FollowJedi (target the Mark before using this macro)

/tellpet group;

/pause .3;

/tellpet chase;

Macro: DroidDet macro (retarget the Mark after the droid starts its countdown)

/ui action targetGroup1;

/ui action targetGroup1; (repeated incase of lag)

/pause .3;

/tellpet det;

***For the grouped or ungrouped hunter with named droid***

Set up two macros and assign them to the keyboard. You can remap the keyboard in the Ctr+O window. I use "Alt+f" for the A_FollowJedi macro and "Alt+D" for the A_DroidDet macro.

Macro: A_FollowJedi

/tellpet *command for Follow other*; (target the mark before using this macro)

Macro: A_DroidDet (retarget the Mark after the droid starts its countdown)

/target *Droid's name*; (if you are unable to target the droid, you may need to move closer to it)

/target *Droid's name*; (repeated incase of lag)

/pause .3;

/tellpet *command trained for detonate*

If your mark sees you or the droid and starts to run, recall the droid and store it before starting the detonation timer. No need to waste a droid by blowing up nothing.

Remember, you can have up to 5 droids on your datapad. Make sure you have room if you are going to use them from deed form.

I've also been told you can call a detonation droid while in combat. I've never had time to do this while in combat and have never taken the time to test it.

(**Edit: If you use this macro and like it. /tip Zemon5 bank) It's only 5 credits on corbantis, just let me know you liked it.

One more thing: Use words for pet commands if you are going to use the /tellPet command. It does not recognize single letter commands (i.e. "g" for group)

Macro: FollowJedi (target the Mark before using this macro)

/tellpet group;

/pause .3;

/tellpet chase;

Macro: DroidDet macro (retarget the Mark after the droid starts its countdown)

/ui action targetGroup1;

/ui action targetGroup1; (repeated incase of lag)

/pause .3;

/tellpet det;

Well this second macro does not work. The droid chases the target just fine then sits by the target's feet. The DroidDet macro does nothing. I jsut used the first macro then typed '/det' in Groupchat and it worked.

The DroidDet macro only works if you are grouped with your pet. Just your pet, no one else in the gourp.
