Thread: Solution for the Kashyyk problem...

I'm sure this has been posted already, but there's no harm in posting again.

The devs say Kashyyk is supposed to be for quests and new content so why not make it quests only? No XP whatsoever while in Kashyyk.

This way, Jedi would not camp Kashyyk, but they could still enjoy the content.

Bottom line, make Kahyyk only useable for the content and quests, and not as a grinding spot.

Comments?

three comments.

Good idea.

Not gonna happen.

I wish it would, but it won't.

Has been suggested a few times before, but doesn't seem to be getting much pull from the higher ups. For what it's worth, it has my support.

bottom line is, for LA and SOE jedi means money and they are not going to rock that boat too much.

Its a good idea, but i doubt they devs will be able to implement "no xp" on kash without it impacting on xp gain on all the other planets

How would turning off XP for an expansion world impact others?

/support

Either that, or
Find a way for seekers to work on Kashyyk
Drastically reduce spawn times
Reduce amount of mobs

The devs have said, it's a content planet, not a grinding planet.

you want jedi to appear rare....

you dont want jedi running around in group in theed, or the MO.

Jedi finda place to grind that is out of the way, and makes them appear more rare...

you have a harder time trackingthem as you cannot just follow a WP to their location...

You want them back on the main planets because it is not fair to you...

Well what is it?

you cant have it both ways.

agree if, NO bounty tef on Kash, no xp, no reason for you to be hunting them there. And to those of you who actually enjoy the hunt, and are able to collect bounties on kash, to bad, to may whiners are eventually going to ruin this for you.

Let's just get something straight. Grinding with 7 other people at a POI on a content-driven planet open to everyone is not "out of the way."

I do hunt bounties on Kash, and no, I wouldn't mind if XP and bounties were disabled there.

I enjoy a hunt where my target moves around a little instead of one that'safk-grinding the same static spawn for hours on end.

Yeah, there's a fun job: Oh, look at that, a Jedi AFK on the Rryatt cloner. Hm, well, I got some stuff to buy, so maybe later. (2 hours later at Kaadara) Well what do you know? That AFK jedi I saw is on the terms, wonder where he might be? Gee whiz, he's still AFK at the cloner, what a surprise! (KD+Sniper Shot+Adv Crit---> Dead Jedi) Wow, that was a difficult hunt. I'd much rather do that than track him over 3 planets and then have a 20 minute fight.
