Thread: Temporary Target Offline Workarounds, taken from various posts. UPDATED

Here's the procedure, for now:
1) Grab mission.
2) Attempt to launch a droid while stil at the terminal, before talking to a spynet op. If the target is not online, you will get the "YOUR TARGET IS NOT ONLINE" message. If he is online, you will get a "YOU DO NOT HAVE THE BIOSIGNATURE" message. This will save you, on average, 90 seconds per "offline" mark. This means that, if you get 10 offlines in a row, you've just saved yourself 15 minutes. EDIT: This does not work with seekers. Another post says this works with Arakyds. I tried to test it, but my second target was online

If you don't feel like going to Kashyyyk (or can't go), then don't call an Arakyd yet. Do the following:
4) If you don't feel like going to Kashyyyk, launch a seeker using "Track" mode. If the target is on Kash, you get the now-familiar "Due to the incredible amount of BS, we will not give you a wp" message.
5) If he's not on Kash, and not on the planet where you are, you get "Your target is not on this planet."
6) Call an Arakyd. Happy hunting!

but you spelled "Due........" incorrectly,
the system or whoever wrote it down spelled it as "Do to the incredible amount of........"
just so you know how to spell correctly

Good info. I stumbled upon this exact same trick last night. Saved some time. But can waste some seekers needlessly. Guess the gain outweighs the loss.

"Track" mode still doesn't waste seekers. Keep in mind, though that the "Seek" mode is the one that's supposed to give us the name, and it does use droids. So we're using one bug to save us from another.

This is good info. I was getting the biosig before launching the seeker and that was getting old fast running back and forth.
