Umm, that Snowcake is pretty filling. I'd stick with some enhancers and a surgical droid. My heals are beautiful.
ok, first off, thanks for the replies, i appreciate the help.
Secondly, let me clarify a couple of things:
I have TWO characters, one has no med skills at all, all my points went into weapon bonuses. The other character has 4xxx CM.
What i am trying to determine is if its 'worth it' to put allllllll the points in combat trees. In particular, I'm trying to find out how the numbers equate in the game. for example, if one character has a general accuracy mod of +210, and one has +170, how much more of a chance does the 210 have of hitting? Since 210 is around 20% greater, does it really mean a 20% increase in hit chances??

this is more or less a definition and may not help at all but accuracy will just help you 'not miss' and speed increase ur weapons speeddo i think there worth it? most definatly i took out 2 jedi today as MBH/MRIFLES 4xxx cm myself
THANK YOU ANIMAL!
That is exactly what i was looking for. I downloaded the calculator and checked out a few things; allow me to share what I discovered.
My Current Template:
Master Bounty Hunter
Master Carbineer
Master Marksman
3xxx Rifleman
This gives you +210 to general accuracy and +70 to general speed. I'm just doing a basic comparison, so don't start complaining about numbers yet.
With a +210 accuracy bonus, using a weapon with a min damage of 419 and a max of 901 and 80 elemental damage(about what my sliced proton has)this will a hit landing 743 damage against a level 80 character, with a 0 armor rating.
With an accuracy of +70, this will drop the speed on a weapon with a speed of 1.9 to 1.303.
If I switch my template to:
Master Bounty Hunter
Master Carbineer
4xxx Combat Medic
I will have +160 general accuracy and +55 general speed.
Using the same weapon stats as above, the lower accuracy modifier will drop the damage from 807, to 791. This is a difference of 1.98%. The speed modifier of +55 will give me a modified speed of 1.38, a difference of .07.
When you look at the numbers in this format, it seems pretty clear to me that combat medics have the upper hand.
Let's use the example of an elite mark with a HAM of 30,000. If the full combat template is doing about 2% more damage, and all other things are equal, he will kill the mark 2% faster. That 2% equates to roughly 600 ham points. 600 HAM points is less than one hit.
I am fully aware that these numbers are not to be held as gospel. There are plenty of other things to consider, target level, armor ratings, target defenses etc. However, this should give you an idea of the baseline.
For me, it will be 100% worth it to shift rifleman into combat medic, and dump master marksman. The modifiers seem big when you look at them on the skill sheets, but the real world percentages tell a different story. I don't mind taking a 1.9% damage cut if it will keep me standing.
Thanks again Animal!
