Thread: just finished my template (master smuggler+MBH+0103 Pistols) and...

im wanting to PvP and do Jedi missions,. Problem is ive never really pvped while grinding out my template and was hoping the BH community could help me out. Not sure if my template is the best template, but hoping there are a few out there with similar templates that have any tips for me. Im currently working on getting skill attachments for Pistols and Rifles as those are the main weapons i want to use, but that is going slow with lack of funds. Weapons i have are my HC Scatter Pistol (kinetic), Renegade Pistol (energy), and Fallon X rifle (kinetic, might be mispelled) and use a decent set of recon armor.
Basically im wanting to know:
what attack specials you open up with and follow up with in 1 on 1 PvP, and Group PvP (if there is a difference) ?
what types of food/drinks should i be taking?
again i know my template problem isnt the best for hunting jedi, but i always like the idea of being a smuggler and being able to slice weapons and armor will hopefully help me bring in a little bit of income. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks =)

if u really like pvp (not jedi hunting) then go tkm/mswords/mbrawler. u can own any ranged profession even if they root u as long as u have 1k stims

thats great, but im not that template to do that... anyone else have tips, or my template just garbage? lol

alright well i have nearly the same template MBH/MS/ 3/0/0/1 Pistols and heres what im doing against jedi knockdown/panic shot then root with concussion if you need to get a few seconds to compose yourself, but if you're using any roots of course turn off any auto attacks. As things stand right now panic shot coupled with a knockdown, the jedi may as well go make themselves dinner cause they're gonna die..but it'll be awhile ive killed plenty of jedi since publish 19 using this tactic.. all very nice too none of the jerk ebay variety. Just remember to have your stims your ruby your pixie and whatever foods/drinks you prefer although you definately need a high action regen and of course remember last ditch is your friend.. if you see anyway to use it as a first strike go for it the jedi wont see it coming.. and it'll be funny cause he'll no doubt come on the fourms to whine about it being an exploit like that guy from far star or whatever. Oh and of course grab yourself a proton carbine cause ya your XT or scatter may be "uber" but the range and the SAC on a proton carbine is golden

My best suggestion is to duel with friends to get a reasonable grasp on the pace of PvP.
It is best do duel against the widest range of templates as possible before making a jump into full-fledge PvP (GCW or not).
Get used to tough fights, since the Jedi played well is more than a handful.

This is a great thread. I was wonting to do the same template but didn't think it would work. I was to use the slicing and crafting but also still be able to kill jedi. Up to what payout are you taking bounties on and being relativly successful without resorting to lastditch?

Also, with useing this Template, what 2 specials do you use for strictly damage. I know crit shot is one of them but whats the other?
