If we do indeed get smuggler missions, will we complain about them running too? And house sitting? Oss the top of my head, smugglers is the only other scum of the galaxie besides us, so shoud we expect this and take it instride since the Smuggler's first reaction is to run and hide?

I will say right now that when this does come up i will role play opropriately depending on what side i'm on. I will get a mission and tack down a smuggler and try to kill him, If he runs i will understand because i myhself am a smugler. Which brings me to the other side.

If i am hunted andi get a shot in my macro will pretty much be this:

/Cuncussionshot

/rolf

/burstrun.

Granted this might make us mad if done to us as a hunter, but we have to understand smuglers aren't jedi and are supposed to get out of these situations any way possible.

As a smuggler, I have given up hope that we'll ever get proper smuggling missions. I'm now in the process of grinding armorsmith to go with my smuggler, then I'm going to unlock the second slot and make a real combat toon that doesn't have smuggler in it. Baslicly, smuggler right now is pretty much worthless by itself unless you want to play slicemonkey, and I've grown really tired of that.

hmm, given the current state of smuggler, their only options are:

1) root and run
2) run fast to start off with, n3ever allowing the hunter to get close
3) kill the bounty hunter (well lets face it, we are not PvP gods, so it will happen)

but, let us look at it this way: what is the goal of the smuggler? to deliver his good, and get paid. his job is not to fight us, so why would he do so?

I mean if a badass collector from a colombian syndicate was after me for smuggling, I would run too.

Hey I have smuggler too and was wondering IF/WHEN this revamp comes how will we be viewed, especially if/when we decide to run instead of fight.

I think Rangers might also play a role in our Smuggling missions.

On a side note for those who are BH/MS how do you complete the double cheveron gold marks if you have attempted them. I am having one HELL of a time with this template trying to defeat those bosses.

Use a droid with medic module + drag them to a high level critter lair (ones that will not aggro on you) and stack Duelist Stance + CoB (yes, they do stack, and the mark will start to miss some) Note: You will have to unequip your gun for CoB, but just put it up on your toolbar and it's not too much of a hassle. As a smuggler + BH, you'll have higher defensesunarmed anyway. If you need to save a little mind, go without a gun for a bit.

Then just tank it, work on staying alive while the droid + critters do the dirty work.Foods +booster blueare a must, along with good kinetic resist armor. Manage your mind, alternate heals and stims. Toss in some critical shot + torso shot every now and then, and keep low blow applied. When low blow wears off, do a knockdown + critical shot, then reapply low blow.

That's how I did it anyway... but to be honest it's not worth the armor decay unless you have adk'ed armor.

Yes, BHs will complain about smugglers escaping and house-sitting.

Smugglers will complain about BHs snaring them and using overpowered attacks.

Jedi will complain about the lack of attention.

I personally would love to see BH vs. Smuggler missions. I had an idea of my own (Sorry I don't know how the "clicky" thing works):

THe smuggler (SMR from now on) mission terminal will be a crime boss (ex. Jabba, Nym, ect.). They have the option of low risk missions or high risk missions.

Low risk: SMR trusted with semi-legal, non expensive substance or a small sum of money to deliver. The reward is decent, but nothing to brag about. Failure is not much of a big deal since this is the easy mission.

High risk: SMR trusted with highly illegal, very expensive contraband or a very large sum of money. The reward is outstanding and very much worth the risk. The mission will be difficult though and failure comes at a steep price.

Failure: In low risk, you are charged a small fine by the crime boss for compensation and nothing more. In high risk, you will have a certain amount of time to pay the crime boss back the worth of the mission. If the payment is made, no harm, no foul. If not, a bounty is placed on the SMR's head.

BH side: BH would get a SMR mission from the crime boss and only the crime boss. Once the BH has the mission, he/she begins their tracking. Once the mark is found, BH has two options, Arrest or Kill.

Arrest: The BH sends a /arrest to the SMR. SMR can either resist or cooperate. Cooperating automatically takes the money the SMR owes the crime boss out of their account even if it puts them in the negatives. and the BH gets twice the amount promised to him/her by the crime boss. For results of resist, see below.

Kill: A fight will break out between BH and SMR (Both professions will be balanced to give each side equal chance of winning, depending on templet and player skill of course). If the BH wins, BH gets advertised price of his/her mission on SMR and SMR looses faction points with the crime boss they worked for and the money. If the BH looses, BH would have to travel back to the crime boss to recieve the mission again. The bounty would be raised (SMR would be notified) and this would be kinda like the pilot's fame points to the SMR. Plus the higher the bounty on a SMR, the more XP they get in their next mission should they choose to work for a different crime boss.

Not really.

Even though very little info is available, it sounds like the PvP active Smuggler missions (i.e. the ones that result in the smuggler ending up on the terms) are entirely voluntary (not like Jedi vis).

In my opinion, if a smuggler is on the terms, they wanted to be on the terms and are expecting a fight.

Did Han run from Greedo? Hell no; he popped a cap in his punk ass! (And he fired FIRST, screw Lucas and his bull **edit**!)

Boba = Dead (well, sorta)(EP 6)

Han = Saved the day (EP 4, EP 6); Pwned Boba (EP 6) and gets the Girl (EP 6)

I wouldnt mind the smuggler running. just house sitting id wine. because the smuggler is just using a paralyzing ability and I can still waypoint the smuggler. and when I find his waypoint I can attack him unlike jedi and there cloak
