Bounty Hunter Archive

I realize this is a lame question but i just got novice bounty hunter and i have no idea how to find the people i gotta hunt down for my BH missions, since i dont have investigation 1, it seems as if i cant use droids yet because investigation 1 says it gives "Droid Find" but not novice BH. So im actually just curious as to how i get Bounty Hunter experiance since it'll be extremely hard to find the bounty without a droid helping.

if anybody can give a few pointers out about being a novice bounty hunter, i'd appreciate it.

Actually i have another question now, because i found the informant and got the location of the bounty. But now the problem is that i get to the location, see the mark but he's red to me! i really dont understand why i can accept a mission so tough, i figured maybe they would give missions closer to my current skill.

Anybody else have this problem?

Ok, I just got my novice a couple of nights ago, and decided on my path to MBH I was gonna head up the Investigation tree first. So while I'm doing the missions (currently working out of Tyrena)I notice that for my marks, im getting about 140-170 BH xp...Mind you I haven't trained investigation 1 yet, so I took a look at the boards here for the post on "Guide to the Investigation tree" and it says I should be getting about 60-70xp per mark. So my question is, should I train ivestigation 1, and most likely get more xp per mission...

Heres what I'm using when I look for my missions

My LLC Equiped (Got it from the bazaar for 3k)

1.Greater Sludge PantherLvl, 23 / Cowardly Gurreck lvl 15

2. Toxic Merek Battlelord lvl 24

For my tree stats, its Novice BH, and CH 3-3-0-3

It used to be 1% of the payout so for your 6-7k missions it was 60-70, but they increased it.

With thoose pets you should have a fairly easy go at it.

If you train invest1 you have to use droids (adds to the cost) and the marks move, so takes longer, most people cap the exp at 10k and train 1 and 2.

After you do that, you get the marks off planet that move, and the real frusstration begins.

To save yourself some time and hassle, you should stay at level 0 (novice BH) bounty missions until you CAP Invest xp at 10k. After that, you can train past Invest level 2 and be 4k xp into level 3.

Novice BH missions are only located on Corellia.

Level 1 and up is off planet and requires you to use droids and the painful shuttle waits. Save yourself the agony.

The post that said 60-70xp is the pre-patch xp. That has changed so you will go up faster in the Invest line.

If you want to be effective against your bounties, you may want to get some or all of the pistol/carbine/LLC styles. They help in controlling your mark. Then again, you are using pets so you may be ok.
