Thread: my first great hunt since Pub20.. or so I thought

After 10 not online/kash target, I find one target on Dant. "Great!" i think, a jedi grindnig on Dant. should be a good hunt for a change.
I get to dant, and the seeker finds him, but doesn't return a name (wether i use seek or track). I get closer and hope that i'll be able to tab through to target him among the bols/pickets and his group. As I get closer, I realize that he's alone and that he's grinding faction by himself. He's on the other side of a hill and he must've seen me coming because he comes over the crest. What do I see on top of his toon? Tiran "Jedi Master".... 
Now I enjoy the interior of cloning facilities as much as the next guy, but didn't see the need to visit one again, especially when he had more food/force power icons under his name than he had room for.
He and I were cool, joking about it as I rode away. Almost all Jedi i've hunted have been very gracious in victory and defeat.
PUB20.. i do love you so. The complete guess work of picking a target makes COMPLETE sense in the role playing world. I'm sure all bounty hunters close their eyes and pick names out of a hat to choose which marks to go after. /end sarcasm

they need to make it so you don't see any of their real info when you approach....just like "Bounty Target" instead of names and titles

That's okay. I feel for ya. I refuse to be a bump in someone's PVP rating. I just don't hunt.

wow... i woulda wet myself. oh well you shoulda fought him anyway. I am a firm beleiver that you learn something from every fight. no matter how 1337 or uber or whatever the he|| you think you are, you learn something and fightin him, would have been constructive. Especially if he was cool about it, he would have fought you and taught you a few things. if he was a jedi master then he was probably pretty expirenced (that is unless he was likemost other FRS jedi pre CU and fight-clubbed up to master.
My motto (yes even with my jedi) is fight every battle, even if you lose, you gain something that a loss cannot take away... expirence.

exactly...I've ended up helping more BH's work on strategy and tactics with my Jedi post pub 20 then in the 8 months prior.
if only BH's did the same for the poor paddies on the grind.

Well, even in knowing I wouldn't stand a chance in H3LL of beating him, I usually go with the saying:
I cried 2 tears in a bucket, F-it....
I would have put my best Critical Shot forward and prayed he slipped on a Bol turd and broke his neck comming down the hill.

Well, I was considering going for it anyways, but there's nothing I won't learn in a suicidal fight with a Master that I wouldn't learn in a fight with a Knight that I have a chance of winning.
i've learned a lot about fighting Jedi since I first became Jedi, and one very important thing I learned was that I fight the fights I can win. If I stalk a Jedi for a while, I get a pretty solid idea of who I can take and who I can't, and with pub20's anonimity, stalking has become even more important.

the FRS is down since the CU with no word on when its coming back.

But to be able to use that title at all, doesn't that mean that they were, at one time, a Jedi Master?

yes, but theyve been stripped of the bonus' that accompany the title
