Buy the best...whatever that is. Featherweight FWGs cap higher than the Scatters but it's a matter of finding the best you can. SAC on both of your weapons is way too high. I have a Scatter that pumps 945 max damage, low speed with a SAC of 66. Spend whatever credits you have on the best equipment available. No one ever says 'boy, I wish I would have been a worse weapon' but many wish they would have bought a better one when the chips are down.

Featherweight FWG5 has a higher capped damage than scatter. It caps at about 966. Mine in particular has stats of...
Damage: 389-966
Speed: 1.78
Accuracy Bonus: +59
SAC: 67
It was sliced for speed, and I can throw a speed PuP on it making its modified speed for me .85, and my modified DPS is 785.87
Its the best pistol I have ever held. I slapped an adk on it.

A big fact that no one has mentioned is that the Scatter does Kinetic damage while the FWG5 is Energy. Kinetic usually is your best bet when fighting a Jedi.

Featherweight can be either right now with regards to adding of a scope during crafting, which will change it from one to the other.

the reason noone mentions it is that kinetic weapons don't mean a thing if you dont kill jedi in your first couple shots. The reason being that after the first few shots the PSG will be useless, if the Jedi is wearing a PSG. All things being the same the weapon (IE SAC and Speed/acc) with the highest MINIMUM damage is the better one for the Job.

Minimum damage if you are hunting Jedi because they most likely have aura running and it will be your minumum damage that comes into play not your maximum.

featherweight has a lower SAC cap.. ..like 65 i think.
Look at the accuracy mods on both.. ..
If your gonna use a pistol make sure the SAC around the 82 mark with high 60's being what you really need. Not alot of difference one is MBH cert one is a Cl54 cert.. ..

I guess the sac is about the same then wasn't sure.
Damage on fwg is like 966
and for the HCS its like 948
Those sound about right.
