The strength of this template, I felt, was that it can do a little of everything. Where a template like MLS, M Defender has holes against a good Force Power user, or a Master Power Master Healer template has hole against a MLS template, this can manage against both. But like I said I haven't had any experience with a Jedi character, so I'm only guessing at this point.

Has anyone else tried something like this? Jack of all trades master of none?

every build has holes in it. the question is can you overcome those holes or work around them. the holes you have are pretty big.

1. lack of DPS due to not reaching the speed limit


2. lack of the best saber attacks also limiting DPS further


3. lack of accuracy with the saber also even further limiting DPS


4. lack of damage reduction from mastery increasing DPS from whatever your fighting


5. lack of force power


6. lack of regen

while you cover all the basic skills well your holes in other areas will severely limit your effectiveness. however if your a support type player not involving yourself in direct combat but only enough to defend yourself then that MIGHT work ok.

my best advice is pick skillsets you want to be. you CANT cover all the bases. the best you can do is pick a skillset with holes you can live with.

the way i choose what i wanted to be is i want the best saber i can get. i love lightsabers. i also want the powers of the darkside force choking people using mind powers and shooting lightning out of my hands is what i want. this means i go master sabers and master powers. and healer 4004 is a no brainer from there. i can live with the lack of force run. i will just let the other guy use his force run to flee from me but my point is pick somehting you want to be as a jedi and go from there. dont follow these FOTM types you just wont be happy.

1. Number, since you don't have master LS you wil not be able to do enough damage to a melee stacker to stay alive. Also since you don't have 4.0.0.04 you can't not hit somone mind so anyone with novice medic is going to own you.

2. Just stop powers all together you would be better off with novice brawler since that does 50% damamge reduction

3. all somone needs todo is hit you with posoin/diease/fire and you are done for

4. Without forcerun2 to get away with all hte above that will happen to you, and take that 8 sp points and put them into either 4.1.0.0 healer, or get 4.0.0.4 enchaner whic is better than just have the force aborb or what ever

As I've told my guildies for a long time now, my only lament in SWG is I can't be a black mage. Since I was 10 playing pencil and paper DnD I've been facinated with the mage classes. With Jedi I was hoping to get something close to it, butI was told by many my dreams ofMaster Powers, Master Enhancer, 4/0/0/4 Healer wouldn't work So the above was my alternative.

Seeing as how that won't work either I guess it's back to the drawing board.

like i said in a earlier post your going to have to make an honest assessment and see if the holes are ones you can live with
