Hi all,
Looks like im finally giving up on the hologrind and going for something a bit more fun. I've had the most fun with pikeman so I'm looking at a couple options...
I'm considering either Pikeman/Rifleman or Pikeman/CM 4 4 0 4.
Neither seem to be too common and both seem like a lot of fun for lootwhoring/pve, but its a tough call. I appreciate any feedback you guys could give

Wow..if you do Pike/CM..you'd be the ultimate DoT bandit. And with that comes tons of flames, curses, cries of exploiting, etc.
With Pike/Rifles, you'll get accused of DoT whoring and kill stealing.
So, for the lesser of 2 evils, go with Pike/Rifles.

lol thanks guys. I was thinking CM kinda as a substitute for DOT pikes. THat way I can chuck a few area poisons into a group of Nightsisters, wait untill they rush me, then wail away at them with a decent damage sliced LVA/VL...and of course, pray I dont get killed
Then again...The same could be done with a few mind shots... OH the dilemma!

Ok I was able to try this template on beta character builder: Available in JtL and on test center... you can build your profession, buff, add armor, weapons... and try it out yourself
BH 3440
Carbineer 4300
Pistoleer 0044
Medic 0140
Wearing composite, buffed, using a scatter pistol (this the best pistol?) I went to Dant to find some trouble...
Drew a Piket mission and headed out. Attacked the first piket, and soon all three were on me. Then a group of huurton howlers spawned around me and agro'ed... so here is my character, with like 6 really pissed off creatures attacking... and Im standing toe to toe with really no problem. (kinda like a TKM) The one thing I didnt see was the type of damage numbers against the mobs like I am used to with my TKM/Master Rifleman alt... but I could be mistaken about how the damage was applied. It just seemed like it took a while to put the critters down. Defenses were good though! Scatter pistol looks real cool! Don't get me wrong--- I really do not know how to play a BH, so my observations are solely based at trying various attacks, mainly pistol, not any tactics really. I was just trying to get a feel for this template before dropping the skills I have.
A little later I came across a pair of Voritor lizards (the nasty poison kind, dont remember the exact name) and spent about 20 minutes working them down, with only minor damage to myself.
So I guess if I have a question, it is -- is this just a Test Center 'god-mode' or actually a good defensive ranged template?
Character builder is very cool. If you havent tried this yet in beta or test center yet, and are working on a new template... this may be the time before they pull them down.

Imp Fusion + 1500 heals+ Sap and Shock
Improved Force speed + Force Channel + Forve wave/Supression
Will I be able to hold out in PvP? PvE? How will I fare? Will I be able to kill stuff before my force drains to 0?

Hold out, yes? Be the best? Probably not. You'll fare fine in PvE. All templates "Fare fine." if you stick to mobs 1, even 2 levels above yours (or below). Other then that, you start to get hurt.

I believe he's asking if this is able to outdamage a rifleman and the anwser is no

well i think jedi has a bugged cap on ls speed atm does it not?
