Bounty Hunter Archive

Well, today I did it. After getting over my impatient streak, I flew to lok with a mark, and followed a group of 8 Jedi to about 4 different lairs. At the fourth, I noticed my mark sit and begin to Meditate. Only one reason they'd be doing that...rushed in, buffed, pumped, Snare, Advanced Crit, Knockdown, Leg shot, Advanced Crit...before I knew it (and her I bet) I saw that she was incapped. DBed...numerous hate tells from all of her friends, challenging me to get their mission. It was VERY satisfying.

My Second was in Theed. The second I saw that I giggled with delight..that means dueling Jedi. That means I just wait for an incap and db. But I wasn't so lucky...Vader flew in just about as soon as I got there, and my mark went to talk to him...but must not have been combatant. I followed him to the recruiter...and though...what the hell. Buffed up, put my good armor on, and followed up with the same pattern. This one wasn't quite as fast, in fact, we went back and forth for about 15 minutes, before he tried to run, and I kded, snared, and incapped him. In a fit of excitement, I spammed my DB button, and the incap timer ran out, and he stood. I proceeded to bash my face off of thigns, and then gave chase, finding him in a lake...
So I circled him a bit, tried to find a piece of land close enough. No good...so I thought hmm..."Forget you, I'm dropping the mission" I said...
I travel about 450 ms away and watch. Sure enough, he made a dash for the starport. But there I was. As soon as he saw me (about 15 m away) he went to run back in the lake. Now, I'm not sure what happened here. Just as he reached the edge of the lake, I KDed him, and he fell face first into the lake, and never stood backup....so I took him out. Got an award of 225k (I think, mighta been 220k). I tell him goodfight, and ask if he's a full temp. He is very respectful, and surly enough, he is a full temp.
So my second kill ever, and its a full friggen temp, who got away from me once to begin with!

lol, heres something funny that happened when Vader landed.

I get to theed and my Mark jedi is over by vader, he starts /slap ing Vader..... Serious dumb ass right there, I walk up and db him and he totally freaked out. Sad thing was he was a IMperial slapping vader.

DB'ing an incapped Jedi - gets the job done, gets you paid.

But in my opinion, bragging about it and being proud about what 'you' did is a bit lame.

It's like sleeping with an unconcious drunk person, sure you got laid, but it had nothing to do with your skills...

I'm sorry but for his 2nd kill being a 225k that's a very well done job.

Now 'TheAmorphist' not to a____ (fill that space with what you will) but your first kill was an unhonourable one. Waiting till your mark is at it's weakest (though smart) was cowardice. A true hunter wants a challenge, not fast money. if you are going to kill them at least give them a chance. Honour my friend, honour. It is what makes, a great BH, a great BH!!!

No it doesn't, what makes a great bounty hunter is getting the job done quickly. You're doing the job for a payout, why would you want to make it harder for your self. Bounty Hunter is not a honorable prof, its a dirty one. I say well done for using your head and taking advantage of a good situation.

love the vader bit

out of my 17 jedi kills only 5 were duel type ready for me fights. and out of my 5 losses all were jedi ready for me duel type fights, goes to show being honorable is for idiots who dont like money hehe. only 2 of my kills have been dbs after they were duling but strangly enough they were uber type jedi. the remaing 10 were when they were enganged with npcs or mobs.

One of my favourite dishonroable kills was at DWB v a jedi i knew had never been killed by a BH Post CU i knew hed kick my arse all over the place, i waited for over n hour finaly he was killed by a DWb mob, have to be clever here cause they always death blow. i had him targeted, he got ressed the instant he moved crit he capped DB. he was cool about it congratulated me on my tactics n patience

Are you kidding me?? We are Bounty Hunters. Honor? Unless Honor is accepted by trade vendors I can do without it. A Bounty Hunter uses an opponent's weakness against him/her. The original poster did nothing wrong. The only part I can't figure out is how he managed to stand around lair after lair and not get noticed. For some reason, when i am within 150m of my target they are ready for me. Only once did I get the jump because the Jedi was spinning on Dant. Still, he would have seen me after the lair was finished. Oh, and trust me, I didn't wait for them to clear the lair and regen before I sent a SniperShot into his back.
