get a 36k ham one on a laggy planet with kd and disarm it can get fun

Even at 36k ham, some of them do more damage than others. Typically, a mark at that level does anywhere between 200 and 500 or so damage a shot. That's not difficult to manage. Some of them, however, are doing 750 or so at a time and this is beyond the ability of CM 4000 to outheal. MCM is not an effective template for these because the reduced offensive ability tends to be negated by the high regeneration rate of these marks and CM offensive abilities don't seem to work well with high level npcs.

For god sake why are some people so stupid... Thats right shout your mouth off saying they are so easy.


Next time you play you'll need 3 people to take them down..but at least they wont be too easy!

It's happened to me too.... I've had some bosses that went down as easy as a regular NPC.... but most of them seem to give mea 12 min fight.

Maybe its just me, but I can say that once in a while I run into one of these marks that are at least for me and my character, are almost impossible to kill. Right now I have a boss that has killed me 4 times, and it seems that if you don't kill it the first time...it gets harder...until the mission switches to extremely easy...behaving like all the others (i believe after 2 server reboots- I never drop a mission and the 3rd day always seems to be a switch in their recharge rate/damage).


I am a mon-cal on bloodfin..(mon-cals have less ham than other character types 2900 max), mbh, mcarb, medic 4040..I use a carbine with around 521 dps. When buffed,consuming the standard food and drinks (blob, bofa, ruby, cafe, pyro), wearing 7/5/6k composite armor & psg...these rare marks will typically run me out of either action or mind...depending on the fight duration and amount of special shots used....and then get db'd on incap. What is odd is that so many are stating how easy these marks are and we are either not talking about the same thing...or there has to be a bug somewhere. When I look at the combat log, I see I am not doing that much damage compared to other missions, so they must have a good innate armor rating. It also seems that my stats are not recharging as fast as others, but that is speculation only..mostnpc bh missionsdont last that long.


I have read suggestions from other posts....things like forcing them to change weapons by moving in on them and pausing...moving 58m away....using lairs....they dont work....these targets do not spam spray type shots, they do not change weapons, recharge like the energizer bunny and I get hit at 58m but cant shoot back at that distance with my weapon. So if anyone can help a fellow bh out by telling me what I'm doing wrong, identify a macro being used....or at least confirm that they have seen the same behavior...so I can have some peace of mind...I hate wasting 3 days on these missions, the loot they drop is awesome....and when they become easy they dont drop any loot at all.

if you have 8k energy armor, PSG,duelest stance macro, ranged defense food the dmg is outhealable. I only have xx3x medic and i have never lost to these Boss NPC's. (about 12 in teh last week or so) I am a pistoleer though so i have intimidate shot which lowers their damage output. Inimidate + 8k energey armor + PSG + duelist stance+ randed defense food = Them hitting for about 200.

If I can get 2 snipershots in off the bat I'm usually OK with these marks. I was running outta action too just use a SAC pup and your golden. My ALR is 58 SAC with the pup on it (493-1183 DMG). If you keep laying on the pain you'll be fine.

I've done over 30 or so missions this week and have only used a single stim. About a third of them were 30k+ ham marks

I fought a ~35k Boss the other day and only had to heal once to kill him. It was very easy. He was using a DLT-20a and very few special moves. I fought a 18k Boss that had an MK-II and he gave me a hell of a fight. There is a lot more to an NPC than their level, HAM, standard/elite/boss, and weapon...

Drop the ego, kid, and learn to distinguish the difference between the NPCs you fight.
