Thread: First Jedi kill

Not only was it my first kill, it was my first Jedi mission. I'd like to thank all of you veteran Bounty Hunters out there for giving me hundreds of dirty trick ideas. The following details are 100% true and not embelished - and better yet, I haven't seen this particular tactic mentioned on the Forums before, although I'm sure thousands before me have done it.

My mark is on Tatooine, so I'm assuming AFK in a house or Krayt Hunting. The seeker droid lets me know my mark is in Mos Eisley. So right away I'm thinking Cantina. Perfect place to blend in under the radar. Perfect. I immediately head to the side wall and start waching a dancer. In the meantime, I'm listening to my mark in roleplay conversation with two other Jedi IN the cantina, and by the looks of things, I've just missed a duel. Damn!

Ah, but patience is a virtue, as they say. Just when I think my mark is leaving the cantina for greener pastures, it turns out he decides to roleplay as a pimp on the main steps at the entrance. Here's where straight up dirty tactics comes into play. My roommate, another Bounty Hunter who had just logged out, suddenly gets the bright idea to log in, come to the cantina, and goad my mark into a duel. And I'm thinking, "Oh yeah. Please, please let this work." Bear in mind that our two computers are right next to each other. While my Jedi mark is pimping imaginary twi'leks to other patrons, I run out the back door and meet my buddy in the alley. After all, free buffs from a Master Doc never hurt anyone. My buddy moves in to start talking to my mark while I stand in one of the Alcoves (hoping Wuher doesn't bust me out) and suit up. Armor macros are a wonderful thing.

I miss most of the spatial dialogue as I was too far away, but no matter. My parter in crime is sitting next to me in real life, so I get the important details. My mark actually accepts a duel from my friend, (Jedi are a proud bunch, after all) and I start to worry for just a second. The Jedi's health isn't dropping, because my friend is doing nothing but staying alive. At the perfect moment when his health finally does start to drop, I come running around the corner, brand new FWG5 blazing my advanced critical shot that I've had for about twenty minutes. Jedi dropped so fast that I had the deathblow on him and was out the cantina door before he knew what hit him. I sent him to the clearing at the end of the path, Gunslinger Style. I could have used a CDEF pistol, it was that easy. My friend summed it up best:

"OWNED."

In the Jedi's defense, he took it like a man. I never got so much as a tell, and he knew he just got worked big time. For you Bounty Hunter haters that will inevitably flame this post and my tactics, surely even YOU agree that showboating with your lightsaber at the Mos Eisley Cantina, arguably the most famous location in SWG, is just plain ASKING for it.

Dirty deeds done dirt cheap. If you call 250,000 credits cheap. I don't fight fair, I fight to win. And now, on to bounty number two...

No screen shots except for the combat log. Almost wet my pants cause I was so excited about killing my first jedi. Nothing to extravegant about the tale except that i finally tracked my mark to Coronet and shot him dead in the starport. Oh but what battle it was. Something I will remember for ever. Cannot wait to get my next Jedi mission.

I got my first Jedi kill last night. I took a mission on a very strong Jedi, a Guardian, and asked several guild mates for help. I had 4 other Guildmates to help me kill this powerful jedi. I tracked him to Dant where he was near a popular player city to get solo group missions. As I send out my seekers, and am waiting for my Guildmates to come to Dant, I notice he is getting closer to the Mining Outpost Starport. Luckly, all my guildmates arrive, and as I move out to his waypoint just 120 meters away, he comes zooming in on his speeder and goes straight the the mission terminal.

I get out my bomb driod, target the Jedi, and press my bomb driod macro. Right when the bomb driod is at "2" I open fire on his already damaged speeder, killing it before the bomb driod even goes off. The bomb driod detonates, but it is bugged and no damage is done to the jedi. I open fire with some Torso shots (we deicded to work the health bar) on this buffed Jedi, and without even looking to see whos attacking him, he force runs away. I promptly get on my speeder and follow while releasing a seeker at the same time. In the end only 3 of my guildmates got a TEF (one of which had to get his by healing me), the other didn't one (User) never got a TEF so he just stayed on his speeder and constantly followed the Jedi. We met a dark jedi along the way, and invited him into the group but he just sat on his speeder the whole time and never attacked.

This jedi never attacked any of us. He was not looking for a battle, he was looking for a way out. Anyone that he had a TEF on, he destroyed their speeders. He was using the water in the area to his advantage, however that was not enough. Gaurdians must have a LOT of force power becuase this Jedi managed to remove DOTS, constantly keep on force run, and he healed his entire health bar (3000+ HP, he was buffed) once, while still doing heals to his mind bar. The fight when on for a while, but in the end his force ran out, and he died running.

A doctor frined of his was in the area, the Jedi got rezzed, and I no longer had a TEF on him or the doctor that rezzed him. That was the end of the fight. It turned out to be a very fun night for my guild.
