That was one of my concerns, as well.

In fact, one of my major complaints with the BH professions is that it's centered around ranged combat. You have to get a line in marksman before you can become BH.

yeah it sucks. You'll have to learn to beat a full templated jedi with a ranged profession.

the devs said at fan fest that mbh was going to be the jedi hunter, they never wanted a dabbler bh, according to them..so they fixed it

melee/bh was cool until it got the nerf. now, all a bh can really do is run away and shoot to attempt to try not to take damage. i perfered seeing bh melee pre-cu tkm's fighting a jedi other than seeing a group of 3 respec bh's kiting one jedi and running as fast as they can

If they never wanted dabblers, MBH should have been made the Jedi hunting qualification in the first place...

well if u was at fan fest, would of noticed there r differnt devs working on it, and since they came to sony that is what they wanted and thought was good for the game. and i agree

Does that have anything to do at all with the statement that they should have fixed it in the start if they wanted it from the start, or am I hallucinating?

It is pretty tough to do unless you have CM 4/0/0/0 in your template. No CM and you are pretty much screwed since it all comes down to who can deal and heal the most damage.

If they never wanted dablers then Mscout and Mmarks should have never been taken out as pre-req. That in of its self was a band aid fix and forever doomed the BH prof IMO from becoming something special.

Bh's aren't supposed to be melee fighters. Besides you could take MBH, and a melee prof along with some healing.
