Thread: How about this?
As something to help foraging, how about a new ability at frontiering 1 that allows you to forage while moving at a reduced chance for success? It would be like maskscent..you'd click it, and for a couple of minutes, it would make foraging checks every 10 seconds or so, and after it 'wore off' you'd have to wait a couple minutes before you could use it again.
I'm also agreeing with those that think a successful forage should result in some sort of nominal amount of xp. Foraging for a type of item, ie /forage fruit, or vegetable, or drink I think is also a good idea. I think that using foraged items in making advanced camps that provide some minor, short duration regenerative bonuses would be nice....something like you put 3 foraged vegetables and 1 foraged drink/water in the schematic (optional components) and the camp then produces a containerwith enough items to serve the number of chairs in thecamp, and anyonecan access and get a biscuit (+10 str/con for 120 seconds) and coffee (+10 quickness/stamina for 120 seconds) or even put in chef produced foods that result in much better regenerative foods to promote interdependence.
Anyone else have foraging ideas?
Anyone around here close or has finished attaining all the themepark badges? I suspect all of those are highly time consuming and hard, and each character needs to finish certain ones to attain FS possibly.
The devs have said it would be from certain achievements in the game which could mean anything from mastering certain professions (Highyl Doubtful) to gaining themepark badges (possible).
How many of the themeparks have you completed?
But completeing themeparks requires combat skills so that rules out a lot of players. NPC missions are IMO a more likely trigger for the FSCS because NPCs only give you missions for the skills you have. So this way entertainers can still get a FSCS which they probably can't do if they are forced to complete themeparks.
Same, I am at the Rebel Outpost theme park on Corellia now (-6600, 6000 puts you just north [but within sight of] the park, I think), but I am not here for a badge...I don't think you get them from theme parks. At least the rewards work now; I get the faction points and credits. I am about to start my first mission from Wedge, but have yet to be rewarded with an item.
I don't think completing theme parks will get you any closer to the FSCS at all, actually.

Was just out doing missions seen one npc wearing a hooded robe. Couldn't get mission from him cause i had too many, but just started thinking since only jedi can wear hooded robes they must be jedi right? After i finished my two missions i went back to talk to him he was gone but the other npcs that was there around him were gone. He had just a normal tag like the others was trade federation loyalist. Did see another one around in the area talked to that one got his mission which ended in keren. Went back to get another mission off him and he was gone, but the other npcs were still there. Started thinking maybe i wasn't supposed to leave Keren so fast but go outside town and look for another hooded npc and get his mission, and just keep going from town to town etc from where the missions send me.
The npc did say something kinda funny said he belonged to the NIS division said that was the non important stuff division so don't ask too much of me. Might end up being nothing i mean does seem too easy just go do missions from npcs in hooded robes.
This may sound crazy but here goes anyway. The thing that always struck me weird about training for BH was that stupid trapping line in scout.Looking at the rest of the scout tree it made sense that a BH would train these things, but that trapping line just pretty much sucks skill points out of you for no benefit except that you need it to master scout. This is something like 20 skill pointsa BH has to spend that could be alot more useful somewhere else in my opinion.
So what I have here is two propositions around this trapping line in scout.
1. Take away the requirement of master scout to train BH and make the three lines in scout required and giving us back the points for trapping and the master scout tile. You could even go as far as to omit the survival line as a requirement as well.
2. If changing the training requirements for scout is out of the question. Then what could be done to make that trapping skill useful is some sort of high powered trap in the MBH tile that is useable on npc and pc. Something that perhaps debuffsand lowers defenses. This gives a real incentive to become MBH and gives us a much needed beef in that tile as well as making all those skillpoints that we spend count for something.
This may have been brought up before, I don't know. Just thought I would throw it out there.
The idea of being able to trap your mark is something many people have thought of already. I for one totaly agree that we should be able to trap our marks, even so far as to say trap other players in pvp as well. All of us can only hope that we'll be able to use something to trap our marks someday, oh the day when that will happen....
