Thread: Jedi babies
It's okay, my standards are pretty tough ![]()
Im just messin with ya.
But everyone in this game is pretty much equal when it comes to who wines the most, gets nerfed, or un-nerfed, or exploits, cheats, etc. People say Jedi are the cause of a lot of things, but the only reason is because there are SOOOOOOO many of them.
I had a old holo-grind jedi back a while ago, but sold him due to lack of grind-time and game-time. Now I play as a part time BH, and have ranked up 150+ unique jedi kills solo... And that doesnt even SCRATCH the surface of how many jedi there are.. I am ingame right now (7:30am EST) and in my friends list, I have a showing of a little over 50 Jedi that are ONLINE, and im sure theres more. I have HUNDREDS of jedi on my lisit total. It's become insane.
Its simple. Dev's wanted Jedi hard to obtain, but underestimated the lengths people would go to, to reach that goal (IE: Grinding weeks straight, exploiting, farming, etc.). And now its to late. But maybe they can make it better. Otherwise it'll be a game filled with Jedi.
Everyone wonders why SWG was more fun in its earlier stages (Back when Anchorhead was the place to be! lol) And its because jedi were RARE, too bad it didnt last longer.
Oh well, I still have my fun ingame hunting Jedi, so i'll leave it to that! ![]()

Yup. One rotten apple doesn't spoil the bunch (ok, not exactly right, but close enough).

Not so. The game was better back then because no one had figured out EVERYTHING about all of the proffessions, so in pvp there was a lot of variety and a constant struggle to find a better build. But unfortunately people started getting really good at finding a better build, which led to the FOTM crazes. Lay the blame where it belongs. Jedi are not responsible for every one of this games failings.

Well I didnt mean that limited-jedi was the ONLY thing great a long time ago, but it was a big help. I didnt blame jedi. I was one myself lol.
But you gotta admit, pretty much 80% of the population is either a jedi, or a jedi's alt. The rest are FS players goin for jedi, and entertainers like my gf (Who plays like 2 days a week lol and does nothing...) Who use swg as a big chat room lol.
The Dev's shouldve stuck with a plan to CHANGE the way jedi is achieved once some people find the path. Like for example: Some people find holocrons, start on their path to the jedi, maybe 3 or 4 get it BAM change it. Lose the holo's secretly and throw a hermit in the middle of tatooine that claims he wants some chips ahoy cookies, but really wants you to be a jedi.
I dunno, but now i really wanna cookie...
