From what I've heard...cloak doesn't use any force when you're in a group and around group members. You can also cloak under the 20m mark from your group members as well. This is unconfirmed, but is what I've heard.

Group members don't count against your cloak-drain, and they don't prevent you from cloaking within 20m. I can confirm that one for you.

But the costs for non-group members have not changed.

That's called "training"...and is specifically prohibited in the EULA...can get you warned, then banned.

But it's warning, suspension, suspension then banned.

Specifically, it is listed in the SWG Rules of Conduct found here

"6. You may not intentionally circumvent the player-versus-player combat features and cause another player to die, such as by "training" them. Training is defined as pulling/leading a hostile NPC or creature along behind you and attempting to get it to attack another player who does not desire that engagement. The intentional training of NPCs or Creatures will result in immediate disciplinary action when witnessed by a CSR, or if sufficient evidence is available. We are aware that accidents often happen causing unintentional trains, and will scrutinize each report of this activity closely. "

Hard to prove, but there you go.

It's not that hard to prove because I've been busted for it twice. SOE keeps combat logs and can tell when you're trying to purposely aggro a bunch of critters then run it over to a group of people. And god forbid you send a tell, group chat or guild chat bragging about the issue. Because, yup, you guessed it. They keep logs of that stuff too.

Profession: Jedi

  • Force cloak and cover break as intended when the player is not in a group or non-group members breach the area.

What happend to this? This lead me to believe that cloak would break if you get within range of the jedi?

It was a poorly worded patch note that also lists a rifleman skill, "cover", under the jedi profession. Blix had to post in another thread hereto explain that cloak does not break that way, rather than edit the patch notes to make them more clear.

It was a misprint. Only cover does this. Cloak does not. They just never corrected themselves. All be close does is to increase the force drain. But one, two, or even three players can't wear down force faster than the jedi can channel and heal up. Only way you can do this is if the jedi is in a highly populated place. I can stay cloaked indefinately by knowing spots in cities that are just far enough from traffic to not drain me. Some nights I'm cloaked forhours on end...just sprinting through crowds and then channeling when I'm either clear or in a safe spot.

ok, cloak isone of defense against huntfor jedi, but it is unworthy that they could use channel during cloak. What the hell a BH can do if you cannot target or see him. And area kd for weapons do not exist. You can use area attack but you make very low damage.
