Ok, novice BH coming back to the game. Have master marksman, master scout, and 2,2,2,0 in medic. Looking to respec and drop all scout except exploration (obviously). Was thinking of dropping medic and picking up master creature handler? Thoughts? Is a few basic boxes in medic even worth it or can we use stimpacks without it? Just trying to get caught up on all these changes.

Thanks

Edit: forgot I need hunting from the scout tree also

Forget it. The game is handed to one single profession - jedi.

Theres nothing for you out there - except for disappointments.

It would appear that ranged professions IE: Rifleman, Carbineer, Pistoleer, and sort of Combat Medic are ruling the Jedi market as of now.

Though I have heard of people using your suggested setup, I rarely see any success stories.

no disrespect but how can you compare SWG to LoTR until it comes out?

Well, I don't want to have a negative attitude. If all the BH's give in to the jedi then they already have won... but I would sure like to give them a hell of a hard time claiming that title.... I won't go down without a fight

I am a new MBH.

I spend a LOT of time looking up at the sky...

But I keep on keeping on. I would say you are not going to outheal a jedi, so you damn well better try to outdamage him Bud. Stay away from Medic, MCh, etc and pick up a weapon.

MCH no good for damage output?

I'd think a rancor and a BH would be a good match for a jedi.... no huh?

mch is terrible for bhing...i know a few people use the template but i think it has doesnt have the sort of damage to compare with what those skill points could be spent on. you'll want some healing now...lot of people are opting for 0020 and getting be'd undershirts.

I personally am doing MBH, MCarb, CM 4000 ....however I may switch to MBH, MCarb, Pistols 0003 (improved stoppin shot), and Medic 0020 for the Healing efficiency. Not sure yet. Need more convincing that having an improved root is worth it over CM 4000 healing ability versus fighting jedi.

What is CM? All I can think of is combat medic but no matter how I look at the templates I can't get to combat medic with the allowed skill points.

I was looking at this template... MBH / Carbines 2200 / Medic 0330 / Scout 4004

Thoughts?

EDIT : Ooops, I meant Carbines 4400 not 2200

I was looking at this template... MBH / Carbines 2200 / Medic 0330 / Scout 4004

I'm currently master BH, master pistol, 4/0/0/0 CM and soon to be 0/3/0/0 enhanced reflexes for melee defense. (No, I'm not going jedi but that is a great place to put my remaining 3 skill points.) I've had really good luck with this template and don't plan on changing it.

The extra tree you have in scout isn't benefiting you much. The medic setup doesn't look that great either. And what you have in carbines is poop. I'd go with MBH, another master ranged profession, and ranged healing CM. Some people even go for master rifles or carbinesand get pistol 0/0/0/3 for stopping shot. It depends on your preference, really.

I can honestly tell you that the template you have there won't get you far. You won't be very skilled in much of anything. You'll get migration penalties forwearing recon armor, your heals will suck, your damage output will suffer, andyou'll have wasted skills points. Also, not to mention, you probably won't becombat level80.

Fair enough... I'll consider those points. I'm reading through what I can to find some good suggestions but so far nothing I like. You say you are 4000 CM for ranged healing.... I'm using the calculator on allakhazam and I can't even get to combat medic with a MBH template. Have they changed the skill req's for it?

EDIT: also, my template was for carbines 4400 not 2200
