Thread: Are the devs going to fix the cannot kd recover while kd'd or what?

5 x times today I have been kd and recieved the cannot kd recover while kd for atleast 15 seconds the whole time taking damage.



I have sent countless tickets



Do the devs actually look into things... I mean really do they?

What I do is:


Put the actual kd icon move in my toolpane 6 and write the following macro:


/ui action ToolbarPane05; (6th toolpane)
/ui action ToolbarSlot00; (or whatever slot you stick the icon in)
/ui action ToolbarPane00;


I then link that macro to a key.



I'm also careful not keep too many additional commands in query. However, if you are one of those people who like to load a bunch of commands into the combat query then write a macro with /dump; in the first line....


Also, if you have a high lag/ping it might help to put a /pause .5or even a /pause 1in there. So far it has been working for me 100% of the time.

Happened to me today also. My action was full, my mark was runnung out of force (master defender / MLS) when I get the KD bug. I have a macro that spams all recovers when I press the hotkey and it has never failed me until today. I was on the ground and tried 4 times to recover and each time I could not and with that came my death.


I hope they fix this soon.

got a feelin this is gonna be a relativly hard bug to fix, the bug team is prolly workin on it though.

I had this bug before, and it was propably due to the fact that the combat que was messed up (like some kind of action failing to execute, but still holding up its place in the combat que -> no kd recovery)


Since then I tried different things, like macro's wich include /dump, and delays etc.. but that never really worked well for me.


Now I just keep it simple: Whenever I get knocked down, I press the escape key one or two times, to cancel any action currently waiting to be executed, then I press the KD recovery key one time, and wait a sec (If the kd recovery doesnt seem to work, try again: hit escape, then kd recovery: DONT SPAM THE KEYS TO DEATH). Then I start spamming my heals and normal shots again, and I never had a you cannot knockdown recovery while knocked down since that (And I had some very loooong fights in wich I got kd'ed quite often).


Avoiding fights in laggy places is also a good thing to remember

Make a new macro hotkey to substitute the default KD recovery one.


In the macro type this....


/dump


/knockdownRecovery

Its because of warmup and cooldown timers using a queue that nobody can see anymore.


Simplest fix would be to add a veiwable queue for us, so we see what move is going off when.


Best fix would be to make warmup and cooldown timers only take priority over moves that arent related to a recovery of some sort. Meaning, they could add a /dump type command to all moves like KD recovery, and Stun recovery etc... But this would have to be only the recovery moves... Things like healing, shooting, eating, should still be governed by the queue.


What id like to see is them removing kd from the game completely. We cant jump, why should we be able to fall or be knocked down.

nah, removing knockdown is just completely stupid

It makes a fight more interesting...
