V. New Ways to Earn Experience (XP)
There are now 3 simple types of experience points to acquire: Combat, Crafting and Social.
This is directly from the facts and when we get on test remember combat xp is calculated at 10% of profession xp so level may be quest based but it is going to be a long process. So it would appear that they made FS a starting profession and reduce the xp requirements to be inline with all other combat professions. Then made all combat professions level at the same rate as the old Jedi system.
This all being said remember we have respects as rewards for a reason so we don't have to grind but the levels 81-90 which I honestly believe is going to be a while to do. So lets keep this the way it is and veterans keep this in mind when you see the new players running around with your profession tag. Just smile inside and welcome them to the game for they have no idea what they missed and are now in store for.

Just trying to make the case ahead of time for the vets to ignore all the "I was on test center and took me forever to get one box" threads. It is exactly what it is supposed to be, for veterans to get a feeling for the new combat interface and view the skill trees. So when the day is done all the new players that join our elder groups have to a long road before they are anywhere near us.
The only drawback I see to this is veterans having to grind the last 10 levels to 90 are probably going to be outrageous requirements. Then we have to deal with the same crowd that didn't want to grind jedi, wanting it nerfed and the last 10 levels just given to them so they can compete.

I am just stating that if this is the case be ready and don't keep the upset posts about it going. This will affect the new players and I for one as a veteran hope this is the actual case.
I dont think this will be the case, they must have learned something from that failed attempt to push a nerf to experience to live with no reports about it. They just simplified experience types, instead of having Scout/Pistol/Rifle/Carbine/Combat/BH/Polearm/Unarmed/2 handed/one handed/jedi/heavy weapons/crafting/chef/tailor/architect/armorsmith/weaponsmith/shipwright/surveying/entertainer/musician/dancer/image designer/ETC experience, we get 3 main types.
Yes, the guy's right.
There's only THREE types of XP under the new system, PERIOD.
Combat. Crafting. Social.
Read some posts once in a while. It's over in the NGE forums.

In addition:
Bounty Hunters: Wear ASSAULT armor and use CARBINES only.
So, weapon-type and armor-type are limited to one type per class. You got 9 classes... only six of which are ranged combatants. (The other three being Jedi, Crafter, and Entertainer.) A completely new system. So guessing and stuff is kinda pointless. We'll have to see if Test works tomorrow once the new system hits it, and what that system is like.
